Youth and Children’s Studies (Honours BA)
Our Youth and Children’s Studies program explores the culture of childhood and adolescence in the contemporary world. Learn research strategies and analytical and practical skills to successfully engage with and make a positive change in the lives of children and youth.

Our Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and Accounting program is CPA-accredited and gives a career advantage to students looking to become an accountant. Unlike most programs in accounting, this one prepares you to understand business and government issues in a data-driven economy at the macro level.

Law and Society (Honours BA)
Examine what the law says and what the law does – and learn the difference between the two. Our Law and Society program applies a critical approach to revealing the underlying relationship between law and society by using social factors that have a daily effect on people’s lives.

The Faculty of Human and Social Sciences (FHSS) offers many opportunities to explore complex issues relevant to today’s society. Students will learn to identify and explore social issues and build real-world connections between what they learn in class and the downtown community just outside the classroom door. You are encouraged to develop your critical thinking skills and question assumptions, while the theoretical knowledge and practical experience you’ll gain through our programs will prepare you for a variety of careers. Community Health (Honours BA)
Health Studies is an interdisciplinary approach to the study of health and health care. Students learn that health is determined by far more than the availability of health care and that health care itself involves more than simply treating illness.

Health Studies is a dynamic field, continually evolving to integrate scientific advancements and new knowledge about the role of social and environmental influences on health and well-being, the costs of health care, and the impact of illness on productivity and quality of life.

Students will complete their UTP Stage II studies at the Brantford Campus and, upon successful completion of the program, you will get transfer to the second year of Bachelor of Science (Honours ) - Data Science degree at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Financial Mathematics (Honours BA)
Laurier’s Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Financial Mathematics program is structured to teach you mathematics and its financial applications with a focus on how mathematics is connected with social science and business. Our program’s modern approach involves simultaneously analyzing financial risks, evaluating prices of complex securities, valuing investments and combined assets, and liability management.

Psychology is the scientific study of how we think, feel, and act. It seeks to answer questions about how individuals and groups interact with each other and the world around them. In your psychology courses you may study diverse issues such as how children develop empathy, how memories are formed and retained, why some people suffer from addiction, and how our psychological and physical states are connected.

Indigenous studies is a vibrant field of social, political, historical and cultural study in Canada and around the globe. Laurier’s Indigenous Studies program is designed to teach you the perspectives and experiences of Indigenous people and will prepare you to engage with important socio-cultural issues facing Canada and the world.
