It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines. Mechanical Engineering emerged in the 19th century from the developments in the field of physics. In today’s era, Mechanical engineers are gaining new research heights in fields such as composites, mechatronics, and nanotechnology. The role of a mechanical engineer is to take a product from an idea to the marketplace. The breadth of the mechanical engineering discipline allows students a variety of career options beyond the few mentioned above. The study of the Mechanical engineering empowers students with creative thinking to design new product; analytical tools to turn their design to reality; and most importantly the teamwork.

Mechanical Engineering program at Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology is best suited to meet the ever-changing requirements of engineers. We have a strong undergraduate program in mechanical engineering. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical know-how to students. We promote their problem-solving skills and innovation of new technologies. The mechanical department offers numerous optional certificate courses for providing a wide spectrum of options to the students to gain knowledge about their interest beyond the curriculum. Students are also encouraged to undertake various live projects.

BSc Chemistry is a three-year undergraduate course which one can apply after completing 12th from science stream. BSc Chemistry course deals with different aspects of Chemistry including organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry. 

M.Com full form Masters of commerce is a 2 years postgraduate course for candidates who want to pursue a careers in accounting, banking, investment, financial service, investment as well as economics and marketing. 

MSc Geography is a 2-year postgraduate program that can be pursued after completion of a bachelor's degree in geography. It is the study of the earth and its relation with humans and its effect, which usually includes the distribution of population and resources, economic and political activities.

MA Political Science or Master of Arts in Political Science is a 2 years postgraduate course. The course provides specialized knowledge of Indian and International politics to graduate students.

An MBA in HR or Human resource management is a two-year degree program that focuses on recruiting the right people for the job, managing them and providing direction and guidance to the workforce. 

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) is a 3-year undergraduate course that imparts knowledge on the basics of computer application and software development. BCA subjects include database management systems, software engineering, operating systems, web technology and computer languages such as HTML, C, C++, Java.

One of the most sought-after courses amongst engineering students, Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) is an academic programme which lays emphasis on the basics of computer programming and networking. It comprises of plethora of topics which are related to computation, algorithms, programming languages, program design, computer software, as well as computer hardware etc.

Computer science engineers are involved in many aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers and supercomputers to circuit designing and writing software that powers them.

The course is offered by technical institutes across India and Abroad at the UG (Undergraduate) and PG (Postgraduate) level where students are awarded Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology degree respectively. MBA Retail Management provides the skills and knowledge of the management in the retail industry. It is a 2 year PG course that offers training and knowledge of key managerial skills that are required to streamline the retail process.
