The BA (H) Liberal Arts programme is designed to provide students with a foundation in the subjects that make up liberal arts. Master of Arts Programme in Political Science of School of Humanities and Social Science, GD Goenka University has been designed to equip students with comprehensive and in-depth learning of the subject matter of Political Science. The Programme aims to prepare students for a career in research and equips the student to be well versed with contemporary trends in politics and public policy as well as possess a nuanced understanding of how political concepts, institutions and governments have evolved by introducing them to thinkers and discourses from ancient, medieval and modern times – both in Western and South Asian politics. The strong research thrust of the MA Programme is reflected in the course on Research Methodology, the Internship Programme and the Dissertation – all of which aim to cultivate, hone and strengthen the research, writing and analytical skills of the students. While the course on Research Methodology aims to educate students with techniques of conducting research and introduces them to research ethics, the two-month Internship enables students to work with an organization of their choice and gain work experience and an opportunity to assess their learning in real-life scenarios. The Dissertation is a microcosm of future doctoral research and helps the student assess and cultivate research and writing skills, in particular, to do with academic writing.

Master of Arts (Education) Programme is an innovative programme, which would provide learners with a wider and comprehensive understanding of education as a field of knowledge and thus would accommodate a wide variety of learner needs. Needs may range from understanding the concept of education to knowing how knowledge gets generated around education and to acquiring higher levels of specific aspects of education.  As per the norms of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), one of the academic eligibility criteria of becoming a teacher educator is to have M.A. (Education) degree to teach the foundation courses, hence the importance of this programme.  Considering the ever-changing cultural and social patterns, it is important to know the roots through subjects like philosophy, psychology, and sociology etc. The programme would help in the preservation and transmission of heritage and values and would help in preparing the students as global citizens.

Master of Pharmacy (Phrmacology) is a two-year interdisciplinary postgraduate program (PG) aimed to develop pharmacy professionals with an advanced knowledge of in-vivo/in-vitro and toxicological evaluation of new chemical entities and dosage forms to cater the demand of the healthcare sector. This program enables students to carry out independent research on experimental animals, pharmacological and clinical investigations, biostatistics etc. in consultation with industry collaborators and academic experts to build a career path for the corporate and education sector respectively.

The Animation and Motion Graphics Department at UID aims at providing top notch Industry standard training in the various facets of animation. Starting from traditional 2D classical animation to the new-age VR animation, every aspect of the subject is covered. The course prepares the student to master one’s skills and understanding so that they can choose any career in the production pipeline, be it in the pre-production, production or post-production level. Independent film-making and commercial film-making both are an integral part of the training.

M.Sc. (Agri.) Entomology is a two year post graduate programme designed to provide knowledge and skill of plant protection principles and procedures to the students. The program offers an excellent blend of theory and research that align with the curricula of leading agricultural universities and ICAR guidelines. The course structure imparts the students with through understanding of the breadth of Agricultural Entomology by providing comprehensive knowledge on basic concepts and current developments in Insect Biosystematics; Insect Physiology; Insect-Pest Management, Host Plant resistance and Insect Toxicology along with minor courses of resistance breeding and plant diseases.
