This course deals with Importance and scope of horticulture, Horticultural and botanical classification, Climate and soil for horticultural crops, Plant propagation-methods (sexual & asexual), propagating structures; separation, division, grafting, budding, layering), High density planting; Use of rootstocks; Orchard establishment, Principles and methods of training and pruning, Juvenility and flower bud differentiation; Unfruitfulness; pollination, pollinizers and pollinators; fertilization and parthenocarpy; Use of plant bio-regulators in horticulture, Irrigation methods in horticulture crops, Fertilizers application-methods.

B,Optometry is an undergraduate 4 year program designed to impart knowledge and skills needed to become a qualified optometrist. In this vision care science program students are trained on various eye equipment (including lenses and spectacles) which is imbued with the idea of improving the vision of the human eye and remove all kinds of obstacles of sight which an individual may experience. The demand of optometrists in India and abroad is continuously increasing. They make a health assessment, offer clinical advice, prescribe spectacles or contact lenses and refer patients for further treatment, when necessary.Offering primary eye care, optometry is a challenging, stimulating and exceptionally rewarding profession that offers excellent opportunities for work in India and abroad.Department of optometry has collaboration with Dayal Optical, Manthan Eye Institute, Arunodya Desert Eye Hospital Himalaya Optical and Indira Gandhi Eye Hospitals for clinical and research engagements.

B. Sc. Forensic Science program aims to develop the skills necessary to take part in a forensic investigation by providing the experience in examining forensic evidence and case studies. It provides students with detailed contextual knowledge of courses related to forensic science in the broad areas of biology, chemistry, law, and methods of forensic investigation so that they can acquire skills necessary to carry out independent projects

Mechanical Engineering is the branch of Engineering that deals with design, manufacturing and operation of machinery. This branch uses concepts of engineering, physics and material science for design, manufacturing, operation and maintenance of mechanical systems. The aim is to develop students’ creative skills in engineering design, analytical ability, innovative and problem solving skills in the key mechanical engineering subjects and build confidence among students to handle live mechanical engineering projects.

M.Sc. Mathematics is a two-year degree program. The aim of our programs is to develop mathematical interests among students and inspire them to use mathematics as a driving force to address real-life problems. The BA (H) Liberal Arts programme is designed to provide students with a foundation in the subjects that make up liberal arts. Students get an opportunity to sharpen their skills and analytical abilities in English, understand the basics of society and language in sociology, understand macros and micros of economics, get into a world of psychology, discern polities and administration in political sciences and delve into a world of history. B.Design (Hons.) programme of Industrial design focuses on designing products, systems and services that make life easier by developing creative thinking ability. It’s a balance of creativity, technology, cultural concerns, environmental needs, exploring materials, production techniques, aesthetics, the emerging fields of Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Artificial Intelligence, and social issues in both local and global contexts. Students learn and apply user centric insights by becoming more empathetic.
