The post-graduate course in law is aimed at providing advanced education and training to law graduates. The curriculum is diligently designed to cater to the needs of the students. Currently, School of Law is running LL.M. in three different streams i.e. Corporate and IP Laws, Cyber Laws and Cyber Security and Criminal Law and Criminal Justice.

Course Outcomes

The BA Liberal Arts (English Literature) program at JLU provides the student an opportunity to assess her/his aptitude and be able to carry it through the three years of discovery and interchange. The objective of this course is to enable the students to understand the literatures belonging to various ages and to be able to analyze and interpret the same. During the course the students will read and write on Shakespeare, Romantic poetry, Victorian poetry and the novel. They will also have ample space to delve into Nobel award-winning post-colonial works from Africa, Asia, North and Latin America, and Modern Europe. By doing an in depth study of the different authors and genres, the students will explore and enhance their horizons pertaining to language and literature. While studying the Literature course students are able to appreciate how ‘literary’ and ‘non-literary’ writing forms are related as rhetorical forms. While creating the enactments the students will become aware of the historical context related to various periods of English Literary history.

The Master in Public Policy and International Affairs program equips future decision-makers with the knowledge and practical skills to make sound International policy decisions. The course aims to provide comprehensive analysis of various streams in international affairs like conflict resolution, diplomacy, human rights, international finance and international law. This programme student acquires the substantive knowledge, practical skills and real-world experience to address the big issues of international affairs. B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (UX) is an undergraduate programme which aims to develop graduates that are not only well versed with computing approaches, tools, and technologies, but are also experienced with Design approaches and new Media technologies & uses. The program has a small set of core courses in CS and Design, and many electives which can be taken from CS as well as Design and Digital Media. This enables the students to build a program most suitable for them. The program will prepare students to work in the IT industry as well as digital media industry like gaming, animation, virtual/augmented reality, etc. The program will also allow students, who want to pursue higher studies, to take up higher studies in CS/IT or in Design.

It is a five year course comprising of ten semesters on completion of which a student earns a graduate degree in law. This course is designed to acquaint a student with the conceptual and operational parameters of general principles of law and its operation in the society. These courses help to understand how central and state governments function and how legislations are enacted and enforced. Apart from the traditional ways like lecture, assignments etc teaching pedagogy will cover up most up-to-date methods such as research, case studies, presentations and discussions.

The course in MA Psychology intends to provide the students the basic training required to become practicing psychologists in their selected specialized area. The course covers the study of mind processes, motives, reactions, feelings, conflict resolution, crisis management, groupthink, motivations, and nature of the mind. It enables the students in conducting research work in different areas of Psychology and prepares them to undertake higher responsibilities in their professional field. B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science) is an undergraduate programme which has been specifically designed to provide a platform to undergraduate students for a prospective career in upcoming data science industry. The course encompasses Data Science as an interdisciplinary, problem-solving approach that learns to apply scientific techniques to practical problems. It is intensive skill-oriented program with enough practical training for building business models for analytics.
