Due to the requirement of sophisticated knowledge and tools to keep systems secure, there is a big need in India and around the world for information security professionals who are well educated about the various aspects of information security. The emergence of Information Security has resulted in the opening of various professional avenues for young professionals, creating a market ready for young IT graduates who can understand the risks involved in data security. With lucrative packages, data security has become the new professional direction for many students. Information Security specialisation will enable students to attain an in-depth knowledge of system and/or managerial aspects of information security, so that they can actively contribute to the prevention, detection and management of security threats, and/or the development of secured systems. It will also allow students with such ability to be easily identified by the IT industry. The main objective of this programme is to train students to become information security professionals for the high-end jobs in security industry.

B.Des. in Interdisciplinary Design has a flexible curriculum that combines courses from the various domains and disciplines of Design with courses from other institutes of the university. Interdisciplinary Design graduates find work in design firms that do cross disciplinary work, creative agencies, and startups that need design inputs. They are also singularly eligible to start their own agency. Many go further into a specialisation that they enjoyed in their undergraduate programme. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is one of the widely adopted techniques not only in the IT industries but also in the non-IT industries to automate their monotonous and laborious tasks to gain efficiency, accuracy, and cost management. RPA can be implemented with the help of various RPA tools such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, UiPath, HelpsSystems, and Pega Robotics.

The B.Des. Programme begins with the common foundation programme for all disciplines.

The first year is a Common Foundation across different streams of design that enables you to acquire the requisite basics before embarking on three years of more specialised design education programme. Hands-on skill courses like Design drawing and Workshop skills like material manipulations, including working on a variety of materials like Wood, Bamboo, Sheet metal, Aluminium, and others form an integral part of the course curriculum.

Learn basic design theory, thorough grounding in elements of form, colour, and aesthetics besides the important sensitisation courses like Environmental Perception and History of Design that aim to give you a complete understanding and perspective of Design as a whole.
Apart from these regular inputs, you also get to learn basic computer skills, photography, printing basics, and presentations. Get introduced to critical thinking, culture studies, and communication that give you an edge in your chosen profession. Basics on Leadership courses along with inputs on Entrepreneurship prepare you for a fulfilling career ahead.
