BCA at JKLU is designed to offer application based learning in computer application through a cross-disciplinary and multi-perspective curriculum that focusses on building skills and a knowledge base for computer application development and IT administration. Recently, the IT Industry has shifted towards business process automation. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is one of the widely adopted techniques not only in the IT industries but also in the non-IT industries to automate their monotonous and laborious tasks to gain efficiency, accuracy, and cost management. RPA can be implemented with the help of various RPA tools such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, UiPath, HelpsSystems, and Pega Robotics.

The Master of Design (MDes) is a postgraduate-level degree in the field of design, awarded by higher education institutions around the world. The field of design is of course constantly changing, and careers in design typically call for a combination of personal creativity with professional skills such as project management. Designers are tasked with the challenge of examining and reimagining a huge range of physical objects which we use in all aspects of our daily lives.

The programme is as much about digital devices as about analogue conversations. It is about cognitive sciences as well as computer sciences. Here, you get first-hand experience of designing and developing complex systems that deliver delightful digital experiences and hands-on inputs to develop user-centric designs.

Courses in cognitive ergonomics, human-computer interface & UI/ UX help in creating good user experiences. Basic understanding of coding helps you in developing digital products. You get to work on real-life projects like designing apps and portals for new businesses besides getting introduced to new methods of quick prototyping to validate your design solutions. The course objective is to provide students with an understanding of mobile computing technologies and how these technologies are utilised and integrated to meet specific business needs. The stream of Mobile Computing is specialisation and expertise oriented. The course also builds a solid foundation of software development skills and introduces the specific skills needed for developing mobile applications. Students will also gain a necessary understanding of current technologies and architectures that provide the network and communications infrastructure for mobile-enabled enterprise computer systems. Students will also develop skills in the design of modern network systems, using appropriate technologies, architectures and techniques.

Cloud computing and storage solutions provide users and enterprises with numerous competencies to store and process their data in third-party data centers. Cloud computing is a model for facilitating pervasive, suitable, on-demand network access to a common pool of configurable computing resources such as webs, servers, storage, applications and services that can be quickly provisioned and freed with nominal management effort.
