The course objective is to provide students with an understanding of mobile computing technologies and how these technologies are utilised and integrated to meet specific business needs. The stream of Mobile Computing is specialisation and expertise oriented. The course also builds a solid foundation of software development skills and introduces the specific skills needed for developing mobile applications. Students will also gain a necessary understanding of current technologies and architectures that provide the network and communications infrastructure for mobile-enabled enterprise computer systems. The B.Des. Programme begins with the common foundation programme for all disciplines.

The first year is a Common Foundation across different streams of design that enables you to acquire the requisite basics before embarking on three years of more specialised design education programme. Hands-on skill courses like Design drawing and Workshop skills like material manipulations, including working on a variety of materials like Wood, Bamboo, Sheet metal, Aluminium, and others form an integral part of the course curriculum.

Learn basic design theory, thorough grounding in elements of form, colour, and aesthetics besides the important sensitisation courses like Environmental Perception and History of Design that aim to give you a complete understanding and perspective of Design as a whole.

These developers work on the operating system in real-time and write the real hardware code to function correctly. They work closely with hardware engineers because they write device drivers. Embedded system developers can look forward to a bright future. Qualcomm, Intel, Tata Elxsi, HCL Technologies all of these companies hire embedded software engineers.
Simultaneously, IoT is making significant strides as more things are getting connected to the internet. Many experts predict that two-third of the new businesses will be dependent on IoT by the end of this year. Keeping this in mind, IoT offers the potential for a “fourth industrial revolution.” IoT ecosystem consists of intelligent devices that are web-enabled and use embedded systems such as sensors, processors, and communication hardware that collect the information and then share, analyse the data they collect and then act on it. The data obtained by the sensors of an IoT in the environment is shared by connecting to an IoT gateway that sends the data to the cloud for analysis. The data is analysed locally.
