The emergence of Information Security has resulted in the opening of various professional avenues for young professionals, creating a market ready for young IT graduates who can understand the risks involved in data security. With lucrative packages, data security has become the new professional direction for many students. Information Security specialisation will enable students to attain an in-depth knowledge of system and/or managerial aspects of information security, so that they can actively contribute to the prevention, detection and management of security threats, and/or the development of secured systems. It will also allow students with such ability to be easily identified by the IT industry. Mobile Computing is the ability to use portable computing devices in wireless enabled networks to stay connected and access data while on the move. As demand of technological environment in new era of computing technology, we offer B.Tech. in CS with specialisation in mobile computing.

The course objective is to provide students with an understanding of mobile computing technologies and how these technologies are utilised and integrated to meet specific business needs. The stream of Mobile Computing is specialisation and expertise oriented. The course also builds a solid foundation of software development skills and introduces the specific skills needed for developing mobile applications. Students will also gain a necessary understanding of current technologies and architectures that provide the network and communications infrastructure for mobile-enabled enterprise computer systems. Students will also develop skills in the design of modern network systems, using appropriate technologies, architectures and techniques.

BCA at JKLU is designed to offer application based learning in computer application through a cross-disciplinary and multi-perspective curriculum that focusses on building skills and a knowledge base for computer application development and IT administration. B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering programme at JKLU provides fundamental knowledge of the basic concepts and theories of analysis, systems implementation, operation, production, and maintenance of the various applications in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The B.Des. Programme begins with the common foundation programme for all disciplines.

The first year is a Common Foundation across different streams of design that enables you to acquire the requisite basics before embarking on three years of more specialised design education programme. Hands-on skill courses like Design drawing and Workshop skills like material manipulations, including working on a variety of materials like Wood, Bamboo, Sheet metal, Aluminium, and others form an integral part of the course curriculum.

Learn basic design theory, thorough grounding in elements of form, colour, and aesthetics besides the important sensitisation courses like Environmental Perception and History of Design that aim to give you a complete understanding and perspective of Design as a whole.
Apart from these regular inputs, you also get to learn basic computer skills, photography, printing basics, and presentations. Get introduced to critical thinking, culture studies, and communication that give you an edge in your chosen profession. Basics on Leadership courses along with inputs on Entrepreneurship prepare you for a fulfilling career ahead. B.Des. in Interdisciplinary Design has a flexible curriculum that combines courses from the various domains and disciplines of Design with courses from other institutes of the university. This allows you to leverage new age technology, hone an entrepreneurial mindset and become adept at understanding form and aesthetics, visual language and user-centric approach to develop products and systems in any discipline.
Graduates of Interdisciplinary Design develop a curious mindset and can work in unfamiliar environments as they are trained to deal with ambiguity. They find opportunities in big organisations that wish to leverage design in their business as well as those startups where design plays an important role. With inputs in engineering and entrepreneurship, the Interdisciplinary Design student has a distinct advantage to act as a bridge between different functions in any environment or specialise later in a chosen field.
Interdisciplinary Design graduates find work in design firms that do cross disciplinary work, creative agencies, and startups that need design inputs. They are also singularly eligible to start their own agency. Many go further into a specialisation that they enjoyed in their undergraduate programme.
