Mobile Computing is the ability to use portable computing devices in wireless enabled networks to stay connected and access data while on the move. As demand of technological environment in new era of computing technology, we offer B.Tech. in CS with specialisation in mobile computing.

The course objective is to provide students with an understanding of mobile computing technologies and how these technologies are utilised and integrated to meet specific business needs. The stream of Mobile Computing is specialisation and expertise oriented. The course also builds a solid foundation of software development skills and introduces the specific skills needed for developing mobile applications. Students will also gain a necessary understanding of current technologies and architectures that provide the network and communications infrastructure for mobile-enabled enterprise computer systems. Students will also develop skills in the design of modern network systems, using appropriate technologies, architectures and techniques.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering programme at JKLU provides fundamental knowledge of the basic concepts and theories of analysis, systems implementation, operation, production, and maintenance of the various applications in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. This programme aims to develop Electronics and Communication Engineers who are able to leverage cutting edge technologies to lead organisations through their digital transformation.

Interdisciplinary Design graduates find work in design firms that do cross disciplinary work, creative agencies, and startups that need design inputs. They are also singularly eligible to start their own agency. Many go further into a specialisation that they enjoyed in their undergraduate programme. Embedded system developers write code that powers refrigerators, printers, ovens, or toasters that makes everyone’s life easier. The embedded coding runs before the operating system even loads. These developers work on the operating system in real-time and write the real hardware code to function correctly. They work closely with hardware engineers because they write device drivers. Embedded system developers can look forward to a bright future. Qualcomm, Intel, Tata Elxsi, HCL Technologies all of these companies hire embedded software engineers.
Simultaneously, IoT is making significant strides as more things are getting connected to the internet. Many experts predict that two-third of the new businesses will be dependent on IoT by the end of this year. Keeping this in mind, IoT offers the potential for a “fourth industrial revolution.” IoT ecosystem consists of intelligent devices that are web-enabled and use embedded systems such as sensors, processors, and communication hardware that collect the information and then share, analyse the data they collect and then act on it. The data obtained by the sensors of an IoT in the environment is shared by connecting to an IoT gateway that sends the data to the cloud for analysis. The data is analysed locally. These devices can often connect to similar devices and share the information and then act on the data they acquire from each other.
