Optometry is the science of dealing with issues and problems related to the eye. A course in Optometry covers every aspect related to understanding the eye, problems, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of illnesses and diseases etc. MM(DU) follows the Ministry of Health guidelines and offers lateral entry in Degree course to diploma holders in Optometry in the 3rd semester to balance the gaps in diploma programs. The program covers both clinical and theoretical aspects. Students would get in-depth understanding and training to treat Cornea, Glaucoma, Low vision and Retina.

The B.Com (Hons.) course aims at providing inputs to the students relevant to the business, industry and trade so that they can function in different organizations and face the challenges arising there from. Bachelor of Science in Operation Theatre Technology is an industry-oriented course which prepares the students for a challenging and highly rewarding career in a hospital, nursing homes, trauma/emergency centers, Intensive Care units, CSSD etc. Graduates are eligible for employment overseas where their qualifications, training and experience are highly regarded. With further experience, graduates may be employed by medical equipment manufacturers and development specialists.

This course equips the students with conceptual knowledge about different relevant aspects of Agriculture. The students are trained to understand the ground issues of agrarian community and skilled to address the issue through policy reforms or by innovating and implementing best practices. Students get a full exposure of the impact of new techniques, trending agricultural practices, and efforts needed for agro-development. The syllabus is designed in such a way to make the students aware of preclinical and clinical experimental studies and provide them advanced training in various fields of pharmacology like molecular level, basic level and clinical level.  Excellent experiments are carried out in each of these areas, which equip the student with skills for research. M. Pharm. (Pharmacology) helps the students to understand clinical uses of drugs in treatment of diseases, concept of drug action and adverse effects of drugs.

It’s a branch of engineering which deals with processing of raw material, production, quality re-evaluation, packaging, storage and transportation, until and unless it is safe for consumption. It is a specialized course that helps the students gain an in-depth knowledge of the concepts of Food chemistry, Food Engineering and Food Preservation. This is a highly industry-specific course.

• To understand the applications of Food science in Food safety, Clinical interventions, Food Packaging and Processing
• To help the students acquire skills to undertake systematic research and maintenance of quality in the area of Food and Nutrition
