The internet age has brought on the need for a scientific approach to the study of journalism and the media. How do you find information, process it and communicate it for maximum impact in the 21st century? Our international, industry-benchmarked curriculum takes on a liberal arts approach informed by the social sciences. We provide a holistic, experiential education where our students learn to produce content for multimedia platforms. We also teach our students to situate their journalism and media practice within the broader context of democracy, social welfare and human rights.

Experiential learning at JSJC works in two ways. First, our state-of-the-art studios enable our students to create professional-grade content, closely supervised by our faculty. Second, we work closely with the Office of Career Services to obtain internship opportunities for our students. We have partnered with leading media platforms in India. Our students have written for the Hindustan Times, the Citizen, Indian Express and the Wire amongst others. We are also working closely with international partners to facilitate study abroad and semester exchange programmes for our students. In the past, our students have taken classes at the University of Sydney, Koc University in Istanbul, IDC Herzliya in Israel amongst others.

Bachelor of Business Administration is an Under-Graduate Business Management course. The duration of a Bachelor of Business Administration is three-four years, divided into several semesters. The Bachelor of Business Administration course can be pursued either as a Full-Time Graduate Course or Part-Time Graduate Course i.e. through Correspondence or Distance Education depending upon one’s choice. Bachelor of Business Administration is often referred to as B.B.A (General) or B.B.A Pass Course. It is General in the sense that it is not Subject Specific, and one can choose several combinations of subjects, apart from two Compulsory Subjects. These combinations vary from institute to institute.

This degree program is designed to help individuals develop the understanding necessary to successfully manage a business owned and operated by a family. Classes typically teach topics such as ownership control, succession and strategic relationships. Students discover ways to attain common goals, address conflicts and create plans for the company’s future.

The three-year fully residential B.Com. (Hons.) Degree programme at Jindal School of Banking & Finance integrates traditional and contemporary courses in emerging areas with international & industry exposure, professional certifications, application of relevant analytical tools and research collaborations. The B.Com course is designed to give students a unique and global perspective through a world-class pedagogy of learning and interaction among peers.

The B.Com programme aims to make students well-versed in contemporary commerce and business practices which are highly important to establish a career in this industry. The Bachelor of Design is a professional degree program for students who wish to work towards improving the inhabited spaces through experimental, experiential, and informed design processes. The program teaches students to imagine, propose, test and refine their ideas about how to live and dwell in the contemporary world and trains students in the knowledge systems that help anticipate changes in the future built environments (from domestic to urban scale). The program uniquely places student-centred inquiry as the core learning, through a sequential studio sequence culminating in a customized capstone design project. These courses are taught by internationally-trained design professors. The professional practice courses include new forms of social and technical knowledge: diversity, sustainability, digital representations and professional ethics. Other features of the program comprise diverse, customizable electives, a flexible system of minors in multiple subjects taught across schools within the university. This is a program for students with ambition, imagination and curiosity who wish to imagine and lead the design of a better world, and wishes to become knowledgeable and influential future design professions.

At present, the B. Des. Program offers Interior Design, Community & Urban Development after a common foundation year.

Community & Urban Development:

The Community & Urban Development pathway is designed to give you tools to engage with cities and with communities, as objects, as people, as metaphor, as relationships, as networks, and as organisms. This pathway empowers you to enhance your experience of cities and lives of communities by regulating land use and infrastructure, designing sustainable waste management or developing finance packages for cities and communities. You ensure that all members of the community are involved and represented in the decision-making processes. You work intimately to create political, social and economic opportunities for cities and communities across the globe. 

The pathway provides students with a variety of perspectives by drawing its faculty from a wide spectrum of academic and operational expertise, ranging from history, sociology, engineering, architecture, law, arts, geography, economics, anthropology among others.

The objective of the Integrated BBA (Hons.)+ MBA, 5 year Degree programme is to enable students to embark upon a management career after completing 10+2 level examination. The programme provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of business management and the opportunity to pursue chosen areas of specialization.

The design and delivery of this integrated program is innovative and unique. It will equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to compete successfully for challenging positions in industry, government, non-profit organizations and civil services. This programme will create excellent managers and also instill the spirit of entrepreneurship so that the students evolve into leaders and wealth creators in the years to come.

The Integrated BBA (Hons.)+ MBA programme at JGBS being one of the most rigorous in the country is designed to prepare students with a global management perspective through a unique pedagogy of learning and interaction among peers in a modular format. Activities like live projects, field assignments and simulation games will form an integral part of the programme.

Field work such as the India Dream Project, Business Internship and Team-Consulting Assignment will help achieve holistic learning and also provide for a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary business environment. Option for a Post Graduate Degree Abroad: In the fifth year, students have the option to enroll for 1-year MS Degree with a partner foreign university subject to the terms and conditions of the host university.

Careers in ?nance are not limited to banks and stock markets. After studying Finance at JSBF students have access and freedom to choose from variety of career options ranging from investment and risk management, marketing of ?nancial services, ?nancial law, ?nancial analytics to even art, sports, and gaming industries.

The B.Com Capital Markets sits at the intersection of theory and practice with an aim to prepare students for global careers in ?nance and capital markets. The programme curriculum ensures that students learn with real market data with and earn industry recognised certi?cations and skills to not only become ?nancially independent and but also ready for opportunities in ongoing ?ntech revolution in India.

The B.A. (Hons.) Diplomacy and Foreign Policy programme aims to equip students with an overview of the various instruments a state may use to pursue its foreign policy in a complex and challenging world order at the intersection of a detailed consideration of the constraints and limits it faces in the international domain, emanating from the rise/fall of globalisation, social and economic rights, and communication technologies which are central to media-based public diplomacy. It is the first and only unique Bachelor’s degree programme in India which integrates the study of related fields of foreign policy in the context of preservation of a state’s sovereignty and national interests, decision-making models of national leaders, hard and soft power in a fast-changing world order, and the essentials of statecraft– all combined into a single seamless Bachelor’s degree. This programme ensures that students gain a comprehensive foundation for understanding and applying classroom learnings as well as shaping their careers. Students will be introduced to diverse ideas and concepts of statehood and nationhood, national interest and diplomacy, the interaction between foreign policy formation and processes, and security, war, peace, sustainable development and other non-traditional domains involving social, political and economic rights as well.

Financial Markets  programme  will be able to understand the different product and services offered by financial markets and institutions. They will have understanding of various financial data sources and will be equipped with various tools and techniques to analyse financial data and draw meaningful inferences. Our students of BBA (Hons.) – Financial Markets  will also be able to understand and participate in policy debates related to innovation in products and services offered by these markets and institutions. Aspirants of this program should have good analytical and quantitative skills and must have keen interest in learning about the dynamic and evolving financial markets and related institutions.

The three-year B.A. (Hons.) Legal Studies programme at Jindal Global Law school aims to nurture legal imagination among young students and build a strong foundation to study law and social sciences in the future or be absorbed into legal and allied fields. This B.A. (Hons.) Legal Studies  programme will be the first ever multi-disciplinary undergraduate degree in legal studies to be launched in 2020-21 academic year.
