Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) offers the 5-year integrated Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Laws (BBA LL.B. (Hons.)) Programme since 2013. The Programme is designed in keeping with the latest Bar Council of India rules and the University Grants Commission prescriptions and aims at fostering a culture of scholarship and academic excellence amongst the students.

The BBA LL.B. (Hons.) course provides a holistic understanding of the legal discipline through a combination of business, management, and law. This multidisciplinary approach equips the students to apply the law to the facts.

• The students study foundational courses and get an opportunity to explore their interests via elective courses and independent research projects.
• They can explore various career options through internships like in the corporate sector, law firms, small business houses, start-ups, advisory and legal consultancy, under CAs, CSs, CFAs firms, contract law related opportunities, international law firms and international organisations.
• The internships and law school curriculum gives them a broader understanding of the legal system and allows them to envisage diverse career paths (including higher studies). This enables them to be better prepared to enter the legal profession.
• At the end of the programme, the students of BBA LL.B. will learn how to communicate in a legal setup, interpret and apply laws, explore niche options in the legal industry, specialise in legal subjects of their interest and succeed in legal employment.

The B.A. Economics (Honours) degree at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge that makes accurate analysis of the economic situation possible.

B.A. Economics graduates from JSGP must be able to understand the interrelation between the economy and society: to consider economic problems from a global perspective and take a local approach to solve them; to make connections between an economic system’s different components; to gauge the implications of decisions related to economic policy; and to respond to the economic problems arising from society in general and the different units that interact therein (e.g. institutions, private companies and sectors of the economy).

Business Analytics deals with the study, analysis and interpretation of all data about businesses. The curriculum, focusing exclusively on Analytics, is uniquely designed for the young minds who need to acquire the combination of skill sets of Business Management and Information Technology. The specialized programme is meant for those people who are interested to solve business problems in a data driven manner. Hence, the curriculum covers Information Technology (IT), Statistical Methods as well as all business aspects in detail.

The B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology degree is awarded following completion of a three-year undergraduate programme committed to the study of human mental processes and behaviour. The BA (Hons.) in Built Environment Studies at the Jindal School of Art and Architecture is a unique 3 + 1 (fellowship year option) program in the country. This program is especially designed for students who are interested in building and maintaining our cities, towns, infrastructure and communities from a humanistic and social scientific background. Through courses in this program you learn about the fundamentals of design & making our cities, towns infrastructure and communities in addition to learning law, policy, environmental issues, question of economics, technology, sustainability and ecology; all of which prepare you for becoming active participants in making the Built Environment of the future. Your “classrooms” are live cases and projects where you work with experts to learn how design, policy and law and go hand in hand to make buildings, cities, infrastructure to secure development that is just and equitable for communities. You visit and intern in firms that work globally in areas of housing, urban development, community design and development, conservation and heritage management, landscape design, sustainable development to develop your own insights into the variety of people who work on the Built Environment. You also avail of many exchange opportunities with similar programs in some of the top schools of design globally.
 

P.G. Diploma in Research and Innovation (Jindal Fellowship Programme) aims to enhance research potential and capacity of students interested in pursuing research-based careers in the social sciences and humanities. The programme is designed to take students’ undergraduate education to the next level by enabling them to achieve in-depth understanding of the domains they have begun to explore.

As a PG Diploma in Research and Innovation (Jindal Fellowship Programme) scholar, the student will have an academic mentor for the whole year, working with her/his research ideas as well as an expert supervisor, who will guide her/him through the research internship of four months.

Programme Features

• Fellows engage meaningfully with a discipline and research area which they are interested in, through active mentorship and research supervision.
• During the first semester, students finish required and optional coursework. In the second, they complete a four-month long internship, preferably within a Research Centre in JGU.
• Learn from internationally-qualified teaching and research faculty from prominent universities worldwide, with gender parity and a 1:9 faculty-student ratio.
• The programme is designed for students interested to pursue higher education as well as for those wanting to work on research-based jobs in the industry.

The Bachelor of Design is a professional degree program for students who wish to work towards improving the inhabited spaces through experimental, experiential, and informed design processes. The program teaches students to imagine, propose, test and refine their ideas about how to live and dwell in the contemporary world and trains students in the knowledge systems that help anticipate changes in the future built environments (from domestic to urban scale). The program uniquely places student-centred inquiry as the core learning, through a sequential studio sequence culminating in a customized capstone design project. These courses are taught by internationally-trained design professors. The professional practice courses include new forms of social and technical knowledge: diversity, sustainability, digital representations and professional ethics. Other features of the program comprise diverse, customizable electives, a flexible system of minors in multiple subjects taught across schools within the university. This is a program for students with ambition, imagination and curiosity who wish to imagine and lead the design of a better world, and wishes to become knowledgeable and influential future design professions.

The Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA) is India’s first school of Global Policy, established in 2015 and offers a dynamic undergraduate programme: a 3-year B.A. (Hons.) in Global Affairs. Conceptualised as India’s first ever interdisciplinary undergraduate degree, it shall train students for international careers through basic learning in world affairs. It will help students acquire a holistic understanding of political theories and international affairs, develop in-depth knowledge of a region by offering various study abroad programmes associated with top ranking educational institutions across the globe. This course will teach students how to systematically apply methodological research, analysis, and historically contextualise contemporary global events. Building on the level of internationalization at JGU, the programme introduces students to a multiplicity of approaches and seeks to build competencies through a range of core courses, electives, specializations, dissertations and capstone options. In addition, students have the options of undertaking semester exchange and study abroad programmes with key institutions and centers of excellence in public health.
