Microbes have the amazing ability to grow in extreme conditions, to grow slowly or rapidly, and to readily exchange DNA. They are essential for life as we know it, but can also be agents of disease. They are instrumental in shaping the environment, in evolution, and in modern biotechnology. They are amenable to virtually all modern approaches in science and engineering. Microbes provide natural engineering laboratories for creating new capabilities for industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, chemicals, energy), and are the foundation of pioneering efforts in synthetic biology - i.e. building life from its component parts.

Microbiologists suit for jobs in the area of Medical microbiology, Agricultural microbiology, Industrial microbiology, Food and Dairy microbiology and also in Marine microbiology.

In the School of Environmental Sciences (SES) we teach, study, and conduct research, in the life and physical sciences to address critical environmental issues and processes related to the lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere.

School of Environmental Sciences provides and foster academic excellence in a diverse suite of undergraduate and graduate programs focused on the comprehensive study of biotic and abiotic interactions and environmental issues in natural and managed ecosystems. The School has diversified interest in various earth, atmospheric and biological processes. Linkages between Ecological and Social processes give an additional dimension to School's interest, making the work relevant. MSc Chemistry deals with physical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry and analytical Chemistry. MSc Chemistry is a 2 year career oriented postgraduate course. The MSc Chemistry subjects is curated so that students get the best scope and jobs.

A Master of Business Administration (MBA; also Master's in Business Administration) is a graduate degree focusing on business administration. The core courses in an MBA program cover various areas of business administration such as accounting, applied statistics, human resources, business communication, business ethics, business law, strategic management, business strategy, finance, managerial economics, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, supply-chain management, and operations management in a manner most relevant to management analysis and strategy.

Diploma in Civil Engineering is a 3 year course for students after completion of Class 10 that teaches students to plan, design, execute and maintain structural works like bridges, buildings, roads and other infrastructural projects.

BSc in Nursing is a 4-year undergraduate course that focuses on providing detailed nursing knowledge to medical aspirants.

The Full form of GNM is General Nursing and Midwifery. GNM Nursing course is a 3 years 6 months diploma level course with a mandatory internship for 6 months. General Nursing and Midwifery or GNM, focuses on providing skills and knowledge related to patient care and clinical treatment.
