These include storage, software, database, servers, networking, applications etc. The combined use of these allows accomplishing a number of computing tasks.

One common example is the execution of applications and data storage without downloading the necessary resources on your hard drive or any similar device. Instead Internet resources or remote servers are utilized. It has many obvious advantages. The service is on-demand, scalable, configurable and minimalistic.
