M.P.T. Ortho-Physiotherapy is a postgraduate Orthopaedics course. Orthopaedic physical therapy includes treatment of the musculoskeletal system (which is made up of the muscles and bones of the body) that has been subject to injury or trauma. This includes sprains, strains, post fracture, post-surgery and repetitive injuries. The areas of the body include the neck and back as well the extremities. Orthopaedic surgeons use means of both, surgery and non-surgery to treat and cure musculoskeletal problems, injuries to sportspersons, degenerative diseases, infections, and tumours and congenital disorders. All the matters of muscles and bones in the human body are dealt with by orthopaedic surgeons or specialists.

This is a three-year degree level course consisting of courses and contents relevant to higher levels of the pharmacy profession in the industry, practice, and research. Lateral entry directly into a second-year degree course is more specifically for those students holding a diploma in pharmacy (D. Pharm). The course curriculum incorporates hands-on training, case studies, group discussion, laboratory teaching and conferences for undergraduate students. The lateral entry system allows candidates to enter into higher learning of pharmacy.

The PhD programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is a research-based programme. The research can be in any of the broad areas in ECE. The mian emphasis of this programme is on a thesis. Work towards the thesis requires a good understanding the state of art in an area, problem formulation, original contributions based on analysis with sufficient mathematical rigour and validation. The research is expected to be of sufficient quality to be publishable in leading international journals and top conferences pertaining to an area of research. This programme has a limited amount of course work that can be completed in one year. The course work is aimed at providing a student with sufficient breadth and to carry out research. The main emphasis is on the research work leading to a thesis. Typically students decide on their research area and faculty advisor within the first year while doing course work.

Civil engineering, the oldest and broadest of the divisions of engineering, implements a range of public and private projects for improving society’s physical infrastructure and the environment. The civil engineer integrates scientific principles with engineering experience to plan, design, and construct networks of highways and railroads, airports, bridges and dams, environmental pollution control systems, industrial structures, water purification and distribution systems, and urban transportation systems that maintain, protect, and enhance the quality of life. Civil engineers are trained to consider the social effects as well as the physical and environmental factors that constrain the planning, design, construction, and operation of their projects. The program gives students the theoretical background, instruction in engineering application of scientific principles, and professional attitude to serve the public.

The program is designed to create expertise in laboratory diagnosis of human diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites as well as antimicrobial susceptibility testing, molecular diagnostic techniques for infectious diseases, public health, laboratory quality, safety, management and regulation.
