The Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering is an research-based degree. The PhD programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is a research-based programme. The research can be in any of the broad areas in ECE. The core strength of the institute is currently in the following core areas: signal/speech /image processing, VLSI and embedded systems, robotics, and communications. The mian emphasis of this programme is on a thesis. Work towards the thesis requires a good understanding the state of art in an area, problem formulation, original contributions based on analysis with sufficient mathematical rigour and validation. The research is expected to be of sufficient quality to be publishable in leading international journals and top conferences pertaining to an area of research. This programme has a limited amount of course work that can be completed in one year. The course work is aimed at providing a student with sufficient breadth and to carry out research. The main emphasis is on the research work leading to a thesis. Typically students decide on their research area and faculty advisor within the first year while doing course work.

M.Pharmacy Pharmaceutics i.e Master of Pharmacy is a two-year post-graduate program for students who want to specialize in their chosen field. This program is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), UGC and Govt. of Punjab. In addition to the industry-focused curricula approach, the course incorporates guest lectures presentations, industrial visits, and hands-on live project opportunities. The course is comprehensive in nature and provides students a chance to interact with industry leaders and placement assistance is a special feature of the course.

The automobile engineering department of RayatBahra University is offering B.Tech. in automobile, engineering to meet the high-quality technical manpower requirements in the field of automotive engineering in the country and abroad. The students are trained in all the fundamentals of automotive engineering with design and analytical skills, practical hands-on experience on systems of automotive vehicle technology, giving them ample training and confidence in knowledge, skills, and problem-solving abilities in automotive engineering. Field visits and internships add value to their practical appreciation of industry practices and problem-solving experience.

Civil engineering, the oldest and broadest of the divisions of engineering, implements a range of public and private projects for improving society’s physical infrastructure and the environment. The civil engineer integrates scientific principles with engineering experience to plan, design, and construct networks of highways and railroads, airports, bridges and dams, environmental pollution control systems, industrial structures, water purification and distribution systems, and urban transportation systems that maintain, protect, and enhance the quality of life. Civil engineers are trained to consider the social effects as well as the physical and environmental factors that constrain the planning, design, construction, and operation of their projects. The program gives students the theoretical background, instruction in engineering application of scientific principles, and professional attitude to serve the public.
