B.A. (Hons.) in Sociology is an undergraduate program which deals with various aspects of social behavior and its consequence on modern society. A Bachelor degree in Sociology teaches the fundamental concepts related to structure of society, organization of society, and how humans interact within these constructs. M.Sc. (Botany) is the scientific study of plants, or multicellular organisms, that carry on photosynthesis. Botanists examine both the internal functions and processes within plant organelles, cells, tissues, whole plants, plant populations and plant communities. At each of these levels, a botanist may be concerned with the classification of plant life. Modern botany is a broad, multidisciplinary subject with inputs from most other areas of science and technology. Various Research topics in the field of Botany cover a wide range of Scientific disciplines that include the study of Plant sctructure, Growth and Differentiation, Reproduction, Metabolism, Biochmistry, Diseases, Systematics & Plant taxonomy, Ecology, Chemical properties and Evolutionary relationships between different groups.

The course provides the students a deeper and broader understanding of the subject. It imparts knowledge and develop understanding of research methodology and its application for research relevant to social problems. To use ethical skills in transparent, accountable decision making for the common good. The course also encourages the students to acquire knowledge, skills and capabilities arising from the need for a more efficient and effective public administration.

B.Sc. Optometry is an Undergraduate Program. Optometry is a health care profession which deals with the examination, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system. It is a vision care science. One can also define it as the science of eye equipment (including lenses and spectacles) which is imbued with the idea of improving the vision of the human eye and remove all kinds of obstacles of sight which an individual may experience. This is a dynamic and challenging career, which allows one to help people, achieve personal growth, community respect, job flexibility and financial success and offers virtually unlimited opportunities. The program is envisaged to develop a multipurpose ophthalmic manpower at paramedical level. The training enables a student to become a competent person in providing service as an Optician, Optometrist, Refractionist and Ophthalmic Assistant to the community in urban, semi-urban and rural settings in private, semi-Governmental and Governmental sectors.
