The Communication Design programme at School of Design aims to create design professionals for the communications industry, with a deep understanding of the processes and types of communication that influence current as well as future trends. The Communication Design programme at School of Design balances the traditional understanding of visual communication with emerging aspects of technology driven practices to enable the student to get a wide grasp of the requirements in the field. Landscape architecture as a discipline is devoted to understanding and managing the human and environmental forces that change the landscape. Landscape architects plan and design places for the health, safety and welfare of citizens through systematic decision-making that integrates science, art and technology. It ultimately helps create, protect and improve landscapes thereby enhancing individual and community quality of life, ours and the ecosystems’.

SAA, a powerhouse in architectural and urban design and planning education seems wholly incomplete without the introduction of this third arm in the trinity of professions dealing with the fabric of our cities and the environment. The Master’s in Civil Engineering programme with specialization in Environmental Engineering, aims at some of the critical environmental issues such as sustainable and renewable energy generation, climate change, waste management, drinking water provision or aging of urban infrastructure. Environmental technologies are already going through rapid development and enjoying major growth. Master programs in environmental engineering explore the issues of human impact on the environment and the development of new technologies to tackle these challenges.
