The Communication Design programme at School of Design balances the traditional understanding of visual communication with emerging aspects of technology driven practices to enable the student to get a wide grasp of the requirements in the field. Workshops and courses conducted by experienced faculty form the core of the programme while engagement with industry through field visits, projects as well as through cross-disciplinary learning form the support for learning, giving the students ample opportunity to learn and practice.

The programme holds strong connections to regional planning, urban design, heritage, environmental resilience and architecture, in order to produce professionals capable of responding to the challenges found at the intersection of design, culture, urbanization, and ecology.

Landscape encompasses all fields directly and indirectly related to the built and natural environments, making it an absolute essential lens to view either with. Landscape architecture as a discipline is devoted to understanding and managing the human and environmental forces that change the landscape. Landscape architects plan and design places for the health, safety and welfare of citizens through systematic decision-making that integrates science, art and technology. It ultimately helps create, protect and improve landscapes thereby enhancing individual and community quality of life, ours and the ecosystems’.

SAA, a powerhouse in architectural and urban design and planning education seems wholly incomplete without the introduction of this third arm in the trinity of professions dealing with the fabric of our cities and the environment. Introduction of Landscape helps our sustained efforts towards interdisciplinary learning, ultimately readying the students to work in dynamic multidisciplinary teams, for the overarching profession dealing with the built and the natural.

BSc Psychology is a three years undergraduate course that focuses on the study of mind, emotions, social development and the individuality of a human being. BSc Psychology also deals with mental illness, crisis management abilities of a person, human behavior etc.
