UPES School of Design’s Post Graduate Programme, M.Des. in Product Design curriculum is designed in a way that gradually increases in complexity levels and covers broad areas that product designers will come across in their professional careers. B. Tech. Chemical Engineering Spl in Refining and Petrochemicals is a specialization running since 2010 and has been accredited by NBA in 2019. This program enables students to have in-depth knowledge regarding the oil, gas, chemical, and the petrochemical sector, with major future prospects in industries like Exxon Mobil, Halliburton, Shell, Reliance, Phillips Carbon Black Ltd., Dr. Reddy’s Lab, etc. The program deals with courses like Petroleum refining technology, Petrochemical process technology, Catalyst design and catalysis, Chemical Industry 4.0 etc. which prepares the student to be ready for any oil and gas industry. We have our student alumni with this degree doing extremely well in both PSUs like Indian Oil Corporation Limited and also private sector like Exxon Mobil, Halliburton, Shell, Reliance etc.

Information Technology Infrastructure is the backbone of any business which uses IT as a service to run their business. IT Infrastructure work with a combination of three components, Hardware, Software, and Networking. This course provides both theoretical and practical knowledge of OS Management, Cloud Management, Virtualization Management, IT Operation Management, Configuration Management, API Management, Risk Management, Cyber Security, Customer Relationship Management, and many more. This training will be provided by experienced faculty members (having good academic and research records) and industry professionals.

Smart materials are materials that can respond to external stimuli such as stress, moisture, electric/magnetic field, temperature and pH. They are at the core of sensors used in smart electronics and comprise a huge variety of materials including piezoelectric, shape-memory, photovoltaic, thermoelectric, ferrofluids and self-healing materials. A student opting for this specialisation will be exposed to the properties, synthesis and application of these materials, and will be able to explore one of these material systems in-depth through the dedicated project work.

The course is dynamic in nature and gives students the time and space to explore different aspects of the digital media landscape. The thematic focus for study majorly revolves around Mass Media and its roots in social communication; Digital Marketing; Social Media; Digital Media Communication; PR and Advertising and Digital Media and Contemporary Relevance. Enrolled students will get equipped in skills related to advertising, public relations, digital storytelling, podcasting, etc.

UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme in Game Design revolves around 3D modeling, concept art, script writing and game mechanics. The students explore various game design concepts in workshops and gain an understanding of game design across various platforms and media such as Board, Mobile, PC, Gaming Consoles, AR/ VR and AI.

B.Sc. in Polymer  chemistry offered at UPES is a three-year undergraduate course. UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme, B.Des. in Animation and VFX prepares students with a strong grounding in design, video and audio skills, alongside modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, digital cinematography, digital color grading, and 3D digital graphics. The course modules also cover motion graphics and virtual studio skills, alongside compositing, 3D tracking, particles, and dynamics.
