This B.Tech. program explores the various ways through which the concepts of engineering can be applied to prevent fire. It educates students with the science of designing buildings that promotes fire safety and property protection. The B. Tech. Applied Petroleum Engineering spl. in Gas (APEG) is a unique program which allows the students to have the feel of both the upstream – natural gas exploration and production & downstream - natural gas processing and distribution. The students understand the concepts of how natural gas reserves are explored, extracted, processed and then distributed. Students study courses like Enhanced oil recovery, Gasification & Gas to Liquid Technology, liquefied natural gas, city gas distribution etc., with hands-on experience using software like PIPESIM, SIMSCI PIPEPHASE and MATLAB. The graduate students have a huge scope in companies like Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Petronet LNG, Shell, Halliburton, Adani gas, Reliance, etc

In this specialisation, students learn about essential concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java, databases, software engineering and design processes. Students will also obtain an in-depth knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence by implementing real-world problems in a wide variety of application domains such as robotics, computer vision, natural language processing, etc. Students will be experienced in machine learning pipeline, data, models, algorithms and empirics.

In this specialisation students will have an understanding of concepts such as Algorithm, data structures, OOPS concepts with Java and Advanced Java, with databases and software engineering design processes. This core competency is catered to students and concepts of Development and Operation are translated along with core competencies at appropriate positions.

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

This course is designed to train students in the intricacies of law as well as financial markets, making them proficient in all basic law subjects such as constitutional law, criminal law, and international law. In addition to these, it has an in-depth focus on laws related to banking, finance and insurance, the pillars of modern economies, and regulatory bodies related to these fields such as Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), Competition Commission of India (CCI), and Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).

This program prepares students to enter the filed of judiciary and law. Skills such as persuasive communication, judgment, as well as a problem-solving mindset are inculcated in the students. The course provides an overview of the set of rules and regulations, which govern the society. Apart from conceptual discussion and debates, the program also includes guest lectures to give practical experience to the learners. *Graduate student from any stream is eligible and can apply for this programme  

Food and environmental microbiology offers electives courses such as probiotics and pre-biotics, food contamination and food borne diseases, bio fertilizers and bioremediation. Each stage of course is one up the previous level. Pre-biotics and pro-biotics talk about how microbes are used in therapy and in impacting our over-all health. Food borne diseases then talks about how infectious diseases are contracted through food and what shall be done to prevent it. The last course in the specialization bio-fertilizers and bioremediation elaborates the role of microbes in killing other microbes, pests and insects and bio-remediation elaborates on the use of microbes in removal of toxins, contaminants and pollutants from environment. These three courses enable a student to become prospective food and or environmental microbiologist. The syllabus designed is such that students intern in industries/companies of their interest and do multi-disciplinary research project at School of Health Sciences UPES in tie up with School of computer science, School of business, School of Engineering and Design. The focus remains on outcome based education with the outcome being highly employable, problem solving microbiologists.  

Acquire knowledge about the principles behind designing of pipelines, optimisation of Modest/Crude/Gas pipeline design, material selection and use of international standards. Learn topics such as construction and maintenance of cross-country pipelines, pipeline operations, pipeline integrity system, and investigation of pipeline defects, repairs and maintenance. Help students develop into professionals who are future ready and can contribute to the growth of this sector while building a successful career.
