Smart materials are materials that can respond to external stimuli such as stress, moisture, electric/magnetic field, temperature and pH. They are at the core of sensors used in smart electronics and comprise a huge variety of materials including piezoelectric, shape-memory, photovoltaic, thermoelectric, ferrofluids and self-healing materials. A student opting for this specialisation will be exposed to the properties, synthesis and application of these materials, and will be able to explore one of these material systems in-depth through the dedicated project work.

This B.Tech. program explores the various ways through which the concepts of engineering can be applied to prevent fire. It educates students with the science of designing buildings that promotes fire safety and property protection. Conserving natural resources and protecting the environment are at the forefront of this specialization.

Pharmaceutical Biotechnology can be defined as that branch of study which applies principles of biotechnology in development of therapeutics. This is one of the fastest growing areas in the pharma sector. Development of diagnostics as a point of care using pharmaceutical Biotechnology is widespread in todays’ world. Common biopharmaceutical products include proteins, antibodies, aptamers, recombinant DNA products, gene therapy, engineered enzyme, etc.  Pharmaceutical biotechnology companies develop tailor-made medicine for maximum therapeutic effects. A majority of therapeutic drugs in the current market are pharmaceutical application biotechnology principles such as antibodies, nucleic acid products and vaccines.

This multidisciplinary course has broad scope not only with theoretical knowledge, but with skill development opportunities and also focuses on practical content, exposure to pre-clinical studies and marketing. This course will cover all the technologies associated with production, manufacturing and registration of biological drugs. M.Sc. (Physics) specialization in Material Science is a two-year program which aims to equip students both with the advanced concepts in Physics as well as hands on training in synthesis and characterization of novel materials, finding applications in myriad domains including but not limited to health, sanitation, defense, clean energy harvesting (solar cells, fuel cells, hydrogen storage, etc.), aerospace, semiconductors industry, etc. Students will also get an opportunity to learn Computational Materials Science, in which they will be equipped with various simulation software/techniques and advanced numerical algorithms to simulate materials via computers. Mechanical engineers design everything from new batteries, athletic equipment to medical devices and from personal computers, air conditioners, automobile engines to electric power plants. These engineers also design machines that produce these innovations.

This is a 5-year full-time course, which explores the role of international economic law in the contemporary global economy. It provides an overview of the legal foundations of the global economy and the regulatory frameworks governing international trade and investment relations.

The emphasis of the course is upon how international trade economics interacts with domestic investment law and cross-border investment law keeping in view MNC’s as well as other state and non-state actors.

Students pursuing Business Analytics and Optimization learn the essential computer science concepts such as Data Structures, Algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java, databases and software engineering and design processes, but also learns Advance Statistical Analysis, Data Mining and Predictive Modeling, Business Intelligence, Business Strategy and Analytics, Operations Research and Optimization, Social and Web Analytics, BAO on cloud, Big Data Analytics, Content Analytics.

Business analytics makes extensive use of statistical analysis, including explanatory and predictive modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision making.
