Digital video & audio are growing exponentially in the Indian media sector and there is a huge demand for original content. This requires specialised production skills which are in high demand.  This degree program equips students with sound technical skills to create digital video and audio content. Students are trained on the latest technology tools to produce, distribute and monetise media properties across digital multimedia industries.

Students are trained as digital broadcasting storytellers & producers. They are provided hands-on experience in the fields of Mobile Journalism, Audio/Video Production, Content Creation, Podcasting, Production, Direction and Live Broadcasting. School of Modern Media students at UPES work in one of the most advanced studios in the country where they learn the skills required for digital and mass media broadcasting which are taught by the best professionals in the industry.

Digital Audio is growing significantly in India as the next big digital platform. To cater to the growing demand in new radio formats, this specialization is designed to equip students to be Digital Content Creators with highly advanced skills for Radio & Audio Production. Students interested in either producing or editing podcasts, learning storytelling for the audio medium or understanding post-production process for an audio product are fit for this course. The broad themes explored in this course include: Digital Audio Storyboarding, Sound Design & Mixing, Audio & Podcast Production, Post Production, Distribution & Monetisation.

B. Pharmacy is a four-year undergraduate professional program spread across eight semesters which deals with the study of medicines. The core subjects of the program include pharmaceutical chemistry (chemistry of medicinal compounds), pharmaceutics (manufacturing of dosage forms such as tablets, capsules etc.), pharmacology (action of drugs on the body and action of body on the drugs) and pharmacognosy (medicinal drugs obtained from plants and other natural sources). In addition to the core subjects defined by PCI, electives such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Design Thinking and Data Analytics are offered to the students.

UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme, B.Des. in Transportation & Mobility Design gives students access to a High-Performance Visualization Lab for real-time 3D visualization of products, Rapid Product Development Lab equipped with Rapid Prototyping, Laser scanner and Laser cutting machines. Students will have proficiency in creating mobility solutions with distinct functions and social impact.

The Master's Program in Automation and Robotics Engineering is an interdisciplinary programme composed of mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering and mechatronics engineering. Robotics is increasingly prominent in a variety of sectors (eg manufacturing, health and remote exploration of hostile environments such as space and the deep sea) and as autonomous and semi-autonomous systems that interact with people physically and socially. It covers important aspects of modern robotics such as autonomous systems, field robotics, artificial intelligence, Machine learning, computer vision, mobile robots, and Rehabilitation robots, embedded systems, modelling and control systems. The program engineers will develop an enhanced skill in the field of dynamics and control technology for complex systems and processes. Over the next decade, robotic assistance will become a reality in almost every field of work and most other aspects of human life. Smart materials are materials that can respond to external stimuli such as stress, moisture, electric/magnetic field, temperature and pH. They are at the core of sensors used in smart electronics and comprise a huge variety of materials including piezoelectric, shape-memory, photovoltaic, thermoelectric, ferrofluids and self-healing materials. A student opting for this specialisation will be exposed to the properties, synthesis and application of these materials, and will be able to explore one of these material systems in-depth through the dedicated project work.

Applied Mathematics focuses on the innovative creation and imaginative use of mathematical concepts to present and solve problems over the various field of natural sciences, engineering sciences, medical sciences and emerging fields such as data sciences and artificial intelligence. The program is designed to provide students an increased knowledge and comprehensive understanding of mathematics, particularly in algorithms, fluid mechanics, differential equations, probability and stochastics, and optimisation. 

The full term of two years and the syllabus for the program is divided into four semesters. This Master’s program is also an ideal preparation for various PhD programs in basic sciences and engineering.  

UPES School of Design’s Postgraduate Programme, M.Des. in Fashion Design prepares young creative designers to become future fashion thinkers, makers and versatile professionals. The programme covers all aspects of the design process, from trend analysis, research and design development, drawing and illustration, colour and fabric development, historical and cultural studies, translation of ideas from 2D to 3D through to presentation, marketing and business development.
