Business analytics makes extensive use of statistical analysis, including explanatory and predictive modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision making.

UPES provides a unique and focused Integrated B.Sc-M.Sc program with specialization in analytical chemistry. The specialization equips students with extensive knowledge allowing them to opt for various careers in academics, industries and research fields. Students who are enrolled in integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. with specialization in Analytical Chemistry program, can enhance their skills related to evaluation, measurement, and interpretation of scientific data. The plethora of research area among the faculty members provides an understanding of different future oriented aspects of chemistry.  The Laboratory courses are designed to offer comprehensive knowledge and hands on experience on sophisticated techniques. The last semester of the program is dedicated to dissertation work making students aware about the application of concepts on real-life challenges. The course is a concoction of the study of commerce and law. By completing this integrated course, a student can learn about two different professional fields. The specialised law course, in its five-years duration, equips the students with the knowledge of both commerce and legislative regulations as a comprehensive concept.

The specialisation educates students in regulating and resolving disputes relating to both individual labour laws i.e. the employees’ rights at work and the employment standards as well as the tripartite labour laws i.e. the relationship between the employer, employee, and the union. UPES provides students with an opportunity to complete two seminar papers and a dissertation exclusively in labour laws under the mentorship of the faculty and an industry-based professional.

This professional integrated degree of arts with the profound knowledge of the law gives a double boost to the career of students aspiring to join the legal fraternity. The subjects covered under arts include Sociology, History, Political Science in correlation with legal subjects of Criminal Law, Civil Law, Administrative Law, Constitutional Law and Labour Laws under the proficient guidance of highly qualified faculty members.

The course trains students to assist clients in setting up and managing their businesses across India. The program is a blend of legal functioning of the corporate entities with compliances required by them. Students will be able to provide end-to-end advisory service regarding the most suitable form of organization, based on the client’s specific needs and objectives. This may include incorporation and setting up of all types of Companies, creating a business setup in India through a branch or liaison office, obtaining statutory approvals and licenses for starting a business from local, municipal, state, and central government authorities.

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

This integrated course trains students in two different fields – commerce and legislative regulations – as a comprehensive concept for five years duration. The program provides students with a vast knowledge of business, commerce and law subjects that are crucial in the professional world such as Business Statistics, Business Communication, Auditing, Economics, as well as Law of Contract, Law of Taxation, Media Law, Competition Law, Corporate Law, International Trade Law, Corporate Finance, Investment Law, Corporate Restructuring, and the likes.

Plant Biotechnology assist in developing new varieties of crop like genetically engineered crop, marker assisted selection, genetics and genomics, etc. This field of study helps in identifying and mapping genes, discovering their functions and transferring desired gene to specific plants as per requirement. This branch of study also focuses on all aspects of the genetic engineering process to enhance efficiency, expression and precision of added gene.

This programs’ problem-based learning mechanism, emphasizes on genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. The curriculum for Plant Biotechnology is planned with theoretical studies, where students will get hands on experience by performing some of the techniques used to detect genetic variations and its implications in plants. Students will be subjected to problem solving sessions to enhance their ability to apply and design their own research projects.
