Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering with Specialization In Process Automation is an industry-oriented program training the students in chemical process automation. The students will be provided hands-on training and skills ins process automation, Advanced process control, process optimization etc., which will make them industry ready.

Biosimilar is that branch of study which deals with study of drugs that are very similar to original product, but not identical. They are not generic drugs and do not possess the same active pharmaceutical ingredient, yet comparable to original reference drug in terms of quality, safety and efficacy. Biosimilar are alternative potential therapeutics but not generics. For biosimilar products, the manufacturing process requires a high level of monitoring and testing.  

At UPES, B.Tech. Biotechnology students with a specialization in Biosimilar will be made familiar with existing regulations, manufacturing sciences and distribution practices of Biosimilar products in India and all across the globe. Students will learn about controversies associated with Generic drugs and need for development of Biosimilar products. Students will also learn how a drug is discovered in a lab, followed by testing in clinical trials and then launched in market for commercialization.

Logistics sector needs professionals for managing demand, procurement, transportation, production, warehouse, retail, and distribution operations. Considering this rising requirement of the market, the program was launched in the year 2011. It intends to provide support to industry 4.0 with a balanced content on Procurement, Materials Management, Global Supply-Chain Management, Multi-Modal Transportation, Retail, Logistics Information System, and Spreadsheet Modelling.

Applied Mathematics focuses on the innovative creation and imaginative use of mathematical concepts to present and solve problems over the various field of natural sciences, engineering sciences, medical sciences and emerging fields such as data sciences and artificial intelligence. The program is designed to provide students an increased knowledge and comprehensive understanding of mathematics, particularly in algorithms, fluid mechanics, differential equations, probability and stochastics, and optimisation.

UPES School of Design’s Postgraduate Programme in Interaction Design trains students to research, analyze, prototype, and design concepts in business, social, and cultural contexts within existing and emerging technologies. Students will gain proficiency in creating engaging user interfaces, ranging from 2D screen (UI for web and mobile) to 3D (AR/VR and will be able to conceptualize user experiences around new and emerging technology, and design to make interfaces more usable, useful and pleasant.

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

This is a five-year program that offers domain-specific subjects ranging from Making of the Indian Constitution, Jurisprudential Approach to Constitution to Comparative Federalism, and Legislative Relations. Drawing heavily from the rulings made in the Supreme Court, it is designed to preserve the relationships between state and federal governments and protect the rights of the individual. Furthermore, it enables the students to become better citizens by sensitising them about concepts that are the basis of a civilised society.

UPES provides a unique and focused M.Sc. program with specialization in Pharmaceutical  chemistry. The specialization equips students with extensive knowledge allowing them to opt for various careers in academics, industries, research, and commercial fields. Pharmaceutical chemistry involves study of synthesis and analysis of organic molecules which have therapeutic potential. The Laboratory courses are designed to offer comprehensive knowledge and hands on experience on sophisticated techniques. The last semester of the program is dedicated to dissertation work making students aware about the application of concepts on real-life challenges. Pharmaceutical Chemist expertise in the synthesis, purification, characterization as well as in-silico screening of drug molecules.

It is an important branch of pharmaceutical research as it is major part of drug discovery and development phase. Major courses under pharmaceutical chemistry are organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical analysis, quality assurance and good laboratory practices.

The course allows students to understand the implementation of governmental policy that serves the population, the workings of political activity, and the process of developing public programs for the society. Moreover, the program provides the theoretical underpinning, conceptual and analytical tools, fundamentals, and the ideological dynamics of the field of study. This specialisation covers computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, android development, Linux administration, database management systems and also provides students with insights into the world of open-source and open standards along with exposure to open-source communities and open-source development methodology.

The course includes specialized subjects such as IT Applications and Open Standards, Dynamic Paradigm in Open Source and Open Standards, Marketing and Services in OSS, Open Source Mobile platform and OSS Development Methodology that provide hands-on capabilities on various aspects of this highly specialized domain.
