For SEE professional, sky is not the limit. SEE, finds opportunities from Underwater to over the sky. SEE, will ensure the generation of ‘Green Energy’, however they will also focus on the ‘Sustainability in Energy’. Growing demand for constant and reliable power supply in line with efficient resource utilization, rising penetration of captive power projects coupled with increasing techno financial assistance by regulatory arms will drive the growth of the global market. Sustainable Engineering is the process to generate energy through the processing of organic and inorganic sources. Positive regulatory reforms toward effective management of trash along with stringent government targets to integrate renewable energy resources will drive the industry dynamics in the coming years. This course is aligned with the present trends in the industries at global level keeping all aspects of technological advancement their performance analysis and technology deployment support structure to make the learner develop the required knowledge and skills as per the need of the industries.

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

The specialisation educates students in regulating and resolving disputes relating to both individual labour laws i.e. the employees’ rights at work and the employment standards as well as the tripartite labour laws i.e. the relationship between the employer, employee, and the union. UPES provides students with an opportunity to complete two seminar papers and a dissertation exclusively in labour laws under the mentorship of the faculty and an industry-based professional.

This program is designed for students who want not only a sound consolidation of their learnings at undergraduate level in Physics, but also need specialized training in Electronics catering to the future requirements of the industry. It has courses from analog and digital electronics and communication systems. The program is destined to transform the students into professionals ready to participate in industrial revolution 4.0. The specialization courses consist of a set of theory courses backed up with extensive lab sessions and project work. 

The full term of two years and the syllabus for the program is divided into four semesters. This Master’s program is also an ideal preparation for various PhD programs in basic sciences and engineering.

Food and environmental microbiology offers electives courses such as probiotics and pre-biotics, food contamination and food borne diseases, bio fertilizers and bioremediation. Each stage of course is one up the previous level. Pre-biotics and pro-biotics talk about how microbes are used in therapy and in impacting our over-all health. Food borne diseases then talks about how infectious diseases are contracted through food and what shall be done to prevent it. The last course in the specialization bio-fertilizers and bioremediation elaborates the role of microbes in killing other microbes, pests and insects and bio-remediation elaborates on the use of microbes in removal of toxins, contaminants and pollutants from environment. These three courses enable a student to become prospective food and or environmental microbiologist. The syllabus designed is such that students intern in industries/companies of their interest and do multi-disciplinary research project at School of Health Sciences UPES in tie up with School of computer science, School of business, School of Engineering and Design. The focus remains on outcome based education with the outcome being highly employable, problem solving microbiologists.  

UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme, B.Des. in Product Design lays emphasis on a process-centric approach of participation and teamwork to shape the students’ education. The curriculum is designed in a way that gradually increases in complexity levels and covers broad areas that product designers will come across in their professional careers. With this specialization, students will learn how to effectively collect, organize, and categorize rich data sources into meaningful and engaging multimedia content. Students will learn how to make sense of data, basics of data acquisition, data visualization and creating stories with data. Our focus areas are data scraping, analysis, and visualization for studying spot patterns, trends, and correlation. Students will be introduced to coding languages like Python and visualization platforms like Canva & Data Wrapper for creative interactive media properties. With the focus on data visualizations, students will also learn how to use database and programming fundamentals into effective visual storytelling. We will also focus on using data in reporting and media communication. This is also a valuable skill set in the arenas of Marketing, Public Policy & Research. 

The Integrated (B.Des) - (M.Des) - in Product Design lays emphasis on a process-centric approach of participation and teamwork to shape the students’ education. The curriculum is designed in a way that gradually increases in complexity levels and covers broad areas that product designers will come across in their professional careers. Collaborative projects with industrial houses, social sector, government and multinational companies are a part of the education process.

This is a domain-specific program that provides students with an understanding of the dynamic business environment of the oil and gas industry. The course allows students to integrate the core marketing concepts with the management concepts of the petroleum sector.
