Computational Mathematics involves mathematical research in areas of science and engineering where computing plays an essential role. Some topics of study include developing accurate and efficient numerical methods for solving physical or biological models, analysis of numerical approximations to differential and integral equations, developing computational tools to better understand data and structure, etc. 

The Integrated (B.Des) - (M.Des) - in Product Design lays emphasis on a process-centric approach of participation and teamwork to shape the students’ education. The curriculum is designed in a way that gradually increases in complexity levels and covers broad areas that product designers will come across in their professional careers. Collaborative projects with industrial houses, social sector, government and multinational companies are a part of the education process.

The specialization in marketing prepares the students on subjects like Social and Digital Media Marketing, Advertising and Sales Promotion etc. The emphasis is on developing critical as well as analytical thinking in the specialized area though case study, projects, workshops, masterclasses by industry experts, among other pedagogical tools.

Banking, Management Insurance gives students an in-depth understanding of the economic, financial and banking affairs. It helps students gain adequate knowledge about the management of financial risk along with the general management areas such as strategy, marketing, and organisational studies. Mechanical engineering is the study, design, development, construction, and testing of mechanical and thermal sensors and devices, including tools, engines, and machines. Mechanical engineering careers center on creating technologies to meet a wide range of human needs. Mechanical engineering has its roots in the industrial revolution with the advent of the steam engine, automated manufacturing, and the demands of railroad transportation requiring increasingly innovative and sophisticated engineering solutions. B.Sc. in Polymer  chemistry offered at UPES is a three-year undergraduate course.
