The B. Tech. Applied Petroleum Engineering spl. in Gas (APEG) is a unique program which allows the students to have the feel of both the upstream – natural gas exploration and production & downstream - natural gas processing and distribution. The students understand the concepts of how natural gas reserves are explored, extracted, processed and then distributed. Students study courses like Enhanced oil recovery, Gasification & Gas to Liquid Technology, liquefied natural gas, city gas distribution etc., with hands-on experience using software like PIPESIM, SIMSCI PIPEPHASE and MATLAB. The graduate students have a huge scope in companies like Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Petronet LNG, Shell, Halliburton, Adani gas, Reliance, etc

The students in this specialisation are exposed to essential computer science concepts such as algorithms, data structures, OOPS concepts with java and advanced Java, with databases and software engineering design processes. Emphasis is given to practical implementation of different aspects of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence with application in hydrocarbon sector.

Plant Biotechnology assist developing new varieties of crop like genetically engineered crop, marker assisted selection, genetics and genomics, etc. This field of study helps in identifying and mapping genes, discovering their functions and transferring desired gene to specific plants as per requirement. This branch of study also focuses on all aspects of genetic engineering process to enhance efficiency, expression and precision of added gene.

This programs’ problem-based learning mechanism, emphasizes on genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. Besides the curriculum for Plant Biotechnology planned with theoretical studies, students will be having hands on experience performing some of the techniques used to detect genetic variations and its implications in plants. Students will be subjected to problem solving sessions to enhance their ability to apply and design their own research projects.

The Master's Program in Automation and Robotics Engineering is an interdisciplinary programme composed of mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering and mechatronics engineering. Robotics is increasingly prominent in a variety of sectors (eg manufacturing, health and remote exploration of hostile environments such as space and the deep sea) and as autonomous and semi-autonomous systems that interact with people physically and socially. It covers important aspects of modern robotics such as autonomous systems, field robotics, artificial intelligence, Machine learning, computer vision, mobile robots, and Rehabilitation robots, embedded systems, modelling and control systems. The program engineers will develop an enhanced skill in the field of dynamics and control technology for complex systems and processes. Over the next decade, robotic assistance will become a reality in almost every field of work and most other aspects of human life. The advanced robots led to a substantial increase in productivity, decision making, increase the efficiency of the system. In this specialisation, students learn about essential concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java, databases, software engineering and design processes. Students will also obtain an in-depth knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence by implementing real-world problems in a wide variety of application domains such as robotics, computer vision, natural language processing, etc. Students will be experienced in machine learning pipeline, data, models, algorithms and empirics.

B. Pharmacy is a four-year undergraduate professional program spread across eight semesters which deals with the study of medicines. The core subjects of the program include pharmaceutical chemistry (chemistry of medicinal compounds), pharmaceutics (manufacturing of dosage forms such as tablets, capsules etc.), pharmacology (action of drugs on the body and action of body on the drugs) and pharmacognosy (medicinal drugs obtained from plants and other natural sources). In addition to the core subjects defined by PCI, electives such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Design Thinking and Data Analytics are offered to the students.
