Growing demand for constant and reliable power supply in line with efficient resource utilization, rising penetration of captive power projects coupled with increasing techno financial assistance by regulatory arms will drive the growth of the global market. Sustainable Engineering is the process to generate energy through the processing of organic and inorganic sources. Positive regulatory reforms toward effective management of trash along with stringent government targets to integrate renewable energy resources will drive the industry dynamics in the coming years. This course is aligned with the present trends in the industries at global level keeping all aspects of technological advancement their performance analysis and technology deployment support structure to make the learner develop the required knowledge and skills as per the need of the industries.

In this specialisation students will have an understanding of concepts such as Algorithm, data structures, OOPS concepts with Java and Advanced Java, with databases and software engineering design processes. This core competency is catered to students and concepts of Development and Operation are translated along with core competencies at appropriate positions.

This integrated program is focused on innovative research training in the field of microbiology to pursue a career in industry, academic or government research laboratories. The program offers specialization in Food Microbiology, Biochemical processes and Analysis besides minors in diverse areas such as Engineering, Computer Science, Management, Law, Design and Media.

PhD Civil Engineering is doctorate level degree.It is a course of study that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of structures that are integral to the general public, like roads, dams, bridges, canals, and additionally railways, sewage systems, etc.

Integrated (B.Des) - (M.Des) in Transportation & Mobility Design gives students access to a High-Performance Visualization Lab for real-time 3D visualization of products, Rapid Product Development Lab equipped with Rapid Prototyping, Laser scanner and Laser cutting machines. Students will have proficiency in creating mobility solutions with distinct functions and social impact.

UPES provides a unique and focused Integrated B.Sc-M.Sc program with specialization in analytical chemistry. The specialization equips students with extensive knowledge allowing them to opt for various careers in academics, industries and research fields. Students who are enrolled in integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. with specialization in Analytical Chemistry program, can enhance their skills related to evaluation, measurement, and interpretation of scientific data. The plethora of research area among the faculty members provides an understanding of different future oriented aspects of chemistry.  The Laboratory courses are designed to offer comprehensive knowledge and hands on experience on sophisticated techniques. Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering with specialization in Process Design and Intensification is a specialization in Chemical Engineering to be launched in 2021, which deals with process designing as well as its intensification. Process design is the backbone of any chemical process industry, be it paints and polymers or pharmaceuticals and specialty chemicals. The designing of equipment, their placement in a process, designing and developing the flowsheets and finally improving the design to reduce operation cost and improve efficiency (intensification) becomes the base of any chemical process. The students will get a hands-on training and expertise in courses like Process Design, Process flow-sheeting, Process intensification, Chemical Engineering safety along with all basic chemical engineering courses. They will also be trained in software like ASPEN, MATLAB, PROSIM etc. which will allow the students to be industry ready.

This course provides an overview and introduction to financial economic analysis covering markets, institutions, structures, and instruments. Some of the basic models used to benchmark valuation of assets and derivatives are studied in detail. These include the Capital Asset Pricing Model and the Binomial Option Pricing model. The course ends with a brief introduction to corporate finance.

PhD in Petroleum Engineering is the highest academic degree awarded in the study of Petroleum Engineering.

This course provides a holistic view of the techno-commercial and policy-cum-regulatory framework of energy and its relationship with other sectors. The curriculum deepens the students’ understanding of the relationship between commercial economics, industry profitability, regulatory reforms vis-a-vis conservation, development, environmental impact, and judicious use of resources.
