International Business is altogether different from domestic business. A business strategy most successful in our country may be a fiasco in another country due to difference in their attitudes and culture. Moreover, due to globalization, in MNCs, one has to deal with personnel/employees from different countries with varied backgrounds and culture. To be successful in business, one should be aware of these cultural disparities of its employees.

The specialization focusses on service objectives and processes, services supply chain, service quality and resource planning for services. Services constitutes the fastest growing sector of the Indian economy and contributes immensely to the Gross Domestic Product. Logistics sector efficiency depends on strong services support system. The application of new emerging technologies, service network design, and pricing strategies play a crucial role in achieving customer satisfaction.

In this specialisation, students learn about essential concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java, databases, software engineering and design processes. Students will also obtain an in-depth knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence by implementing real-world problems in a wide variety of application domains such as robotics, computer vision, natural language processing, etc. Students will be experienced in machine learning pipeline, data, models, algorithms and empirics.

This specialisation explores the complex legal issues arising out of international banking, trade, and business from the standpoint of both transactional perspective and dispute settlement mechanisms (litigation and arbitration). Particularly oriented towards practice in these fields, the modules have a distinctly international and comparative dimension whilst at the same time drawing strongly on the rich tradition and experience of Indian law.

UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme, B.Des. in Graphic & Communication Design prepares students for image design, typography, layout design, branding, design history, research methods, web-based design, digital design, photography, and graphics technology. B. Tech. Chemical Engineering Spl in Refining and Petrochemicals is a specialization running since 2010 and has been accredited by NBA in 2019. This program enables students to have in-depth knowledge regarding the oil, gas, chemical, and the petrochemical sector, with major future prospects in industries like Exxon Mobil, Halliburton, Shell, Reliance, Phillips Carbon Black Ltd., Dr. Reddy’s Lab, etc. The program deals with courses like Petroleum refining technology, Petrochemical process technology, Catalyst design and catalysis, Chemical Industry 4.0 etc. which prepares the student to be ready for any oil and gas industry. We have our student alumni with this degree doing extremely well in both PSUs like Indian Oil Corporation Limited and also private sector like Exxon Mobil, Halliburton, Shell, Reliance etc.

B.Sc (H) Physics, with specialization in Astronomy and Astrophysics and Computational Physics would be a full time 3-year undergraduate program in Physics. This program is designed for students who not only want to build a sound base in Physics, but also wish to study Astronomy and Astrophysics/Computational Physics. Thus, the students in this program would not only study the conventional modules in Physics at undergraduate level, but would also study modules on Astronomy and Astrophysics/Computational Physics.

Structural Engineering is an innovative program, focused on the combination of recent advances made in the field of structural engineering.  This program allows structural engineer the flexibility and freedom for a better understanding of structural behavior with material and geometric non-linearity and loading uncertainties  It also engages in a comprehensive study of modern structural engineering subjects such as Analysis of Offshore Structures, Bridge Design, Construction Technology, etc.

In this program, a student learns about the basics food preservation and conservation. In this particular specialization, the Design of food process plant, Food plant location, Food plant layout, requirements like water supply, Electricity supply, clean environment and location, Contraction material used, Waste management, cleaning and sanitisation are main course content. The equipment used during food processing, packaging requirement, utensils, standards related to material used in construction of food processing equipment’s, standardisation of food process, arrangements of equipment’s in best possible way.  The food processing Industry visit carried out for practical knowledge.  Food Industry Trainings are also carried out. Scope and importance of food plant engineering, Processing methods and their requirements, Preservation by drying, Preservation by low temperature, heat treatments, and Food conversion operation. In this a student learns about various techniques and procedures involved in food packaging. This subject helps a student to understand the importance of processing of various kinds of food products. This course covers both practical and theoretical aspects of food industry.

5 G Communication and Technology involves core ECE subjects plus innovative courses covering innovative technologies such as Massive MIMO, LTE-Advanced, mmWave, Massive-IoT, 5G-NR, NB-IoT, SDN, Cloud-RAN, Edge Computing, NFV, HetNets, Network Slicing and much more. State-of-the-art laboratories, project-based learning environment and regular industrial visits (every semester) are conducted to amplify practical exposure and hand-on experience of the students.
