B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology is an undergraduate three-year degree programmes are designed with the goal of providing expertise to the students in the field of Food Science and Technology. This program will provide students with in-depth knowledge of the Technical, scientific and professional approaches towards the physicochemical, microbiological, engineering and textural aspects of food. The program includes detailed study of subjects such as Advance Food Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Technology of Cereals, Principles of Food quality, Bakery Technology, Technology of Fruits, Vegetables and Plantation Crop, Technology of Milk and Milk Products, Technology of Food Preservation, Food Microbiology and Engineering etc. Courses on English communication, seminar presentation, reasoning skill, personality development targets an overall improvement in the aptitude of student along with enhancement of communication skills.  Industrial visits, participation in seminar/conference, training programmes impart additional technical skills. Dissertation specifically inculcates research aptitude and scientific writing skills.

LL.M. degree prepares the students for a satisfying career in various branches of law, such as law officers, legal advisors and law professionals having independent set-up. LL.M. degree also qualifies a person for teaching in a law school and university. They can also take Judicial Service Examination and become judges. There is no dearth of career opportunities for LL.M. degree holders.

Environmental Engineering encompasses ecology, geology, chemistry, biology, hydrology, microbiology and considered to be a vast field. It’s major emphasis is on protection of all living organism, their health and environment. It is a discipline related to Civil Engineering as well as Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Environmental engineers are involved in the field of water and waste management, and involved in the major challenges like global warming, acid rain, ozone depletion, and water and air pollution. That requires a specialized training in the field and owing to this Uttaranchal University offers a post graduate program in the field of Environment Engineering.

Program curriculum has been designed to fulfil the growing demand for individuals who can respond to the advanced knowledge needs of industry, research organisations, and academics. It is focused on research and development, as well as exposure to and experience working with cutting-edge technology. BBA – Tourism and Event Management is 3 years (6 semesters) undergraduate program to instil solid foundation of business skills with specialized training and hands on experience in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Events management, Consumer behaviour, Recreation and so on.

B.Tech Civil Engineering is a 4 years (8 semesters) undergraduate program designed to create engineers who can work for the society for creating space to improve their living standard, create safe and secure environment from natural and manmade disasters. The teaching – learning pedagogy involves not only class room teaching but also experiential learning through practical in the lab, fields and interactions with experts, training in workshops, internships, live projects and field work. Students are taught variety of courses in the field of structural engineering, transportation engineering, water supply and waste water treatment, environment engineering, foundation engineering, surveying, estimation and costing etc. Apart from that students have exposure to software learning relevant to industry and it is ensured that students are industry ready after leaving the college life and easily adaptive to the new environment through skill development based courses.

M.Sc. Biotechnology is a two year program spread into four semesters. The curriculum comprises of comprise core courses, open elective and discipline specific electives. Core courses provide conceptual knowledge and experimental learning pertaining to basic and applied field of biotechnology through different teaching learning methods. Open electives target skill enhancement and discipline elective courses are specifically designed to provide skills pertaining to application of biotechnological tools and techniques in various fields including industry, agriculture, environment, health and others. Industrial visits, participation in seminar/conference, training programs impart additional technical skills. A crucial component of fourth semester is dissertation; each student is allotted a supervisor to conduct research in the field of interest of the student. The objective of dissertation is to impart skill to design and develop protocols, conduct experiment, interpret data and comprehend scientific writing skills.

BSc Nursing is a four-year undergraduate programme offered by Uttaranchal University to prepare students to assume responsibilities as competent nurses in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services. The programme enables the students to apply knowledge from physical, biological, and behavioural sciences in providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities. B.Sc. in Medical Radiography & Imaging Technology is the health profession dealing with the direct administration of radiation. The term “diagnostic radiography” is used to describe a variety of radiographic or x-ray examinations. These simple procedures of Radiology and Imaging Technology make it possible to study organs that otherwise cannot be seen.
