Thermal Engineering emphasizes on the applications of the elemental principles of Thermal Engineering, which include Steam Power Plants, turbine Power Plants, Petroleum Refineries, and Solar Appliances, Cooling of equipment and Devices, Automobiles, I.C. Engines, Refrigeration Plants, Air-Conditioning System, Cold Storage Units, Propulsion Systems.

The field of psychology is quite vast and it covers clinical psychology, counselling, General psychology, Business psychology, Forensic Psychology, International psychology, Educational Psychology and so on. Organizations looking for psychologist for their business ask for different skill sets such as good communication skills, Analytical ability, emotional balance, problem solving capability, ethical responsibility etc. for their human resource management, good social behaviour, excellent mental health and stress management.

To create substantial impact through teaching, research, and application, the discipline of psychology provides students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of behaviour and experience from a variety of theoretical perspectives. Microbiology, a branch of medicine and is a study of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. These bacteria can cause various diseases in human beings. B.Sc. Medical Microbiology provides students with the knowledge of microbial pathogenesis, epidemiology, disease pathology, and immunology. The programme trains aspirants to perform effective treatment on infectious diseases and make certain clinical applications of microbes for the improvement of health. Along with the study of pathology, biochemistry, and immunology, students will also learn about the human immune system and the immune response to a variety of infectious microbes.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics is a three year Honors Program. The thrust of this Program is to impart extensive knowledge of Physics, both in theoretical and practical spheres. The Programme involves Thermodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Optics, Heat & Thermodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, Atomic, Nuclear & Particle Physics and Lasers & Instrumentation and Electronics. Besides these, the students will also study the generic subjects like English, Mathematics and Computer Application.

BA – Banking and Finance is a comprehensive three year program with a blend of Theoretical knowledge and Practical training combined with core subjects like Business economics, Business statstitiscs, Financial accounting, Business finance, cost and management accounting, Banking and insurance, working capital management, International financial management, Financial market and institutions etc. makes this program a well accepted  career choice for students. The major objective of this program is to develop financial understanding among students and build relevant skills to tackle financial problems like financing decisions, investment decisions and dividend decisions for the organisation.

BA (Hons) Economics with research aims to develop the necessary research oriented skills to analyze economic phenomena. Students will develop research aptitude to empirically validate economic theories. The significance of the Programme lies in the statistical methods in research which will develop research-based skills to construct and analyze qualitative and quantitative data. The Programme will enable the students to understand the economic issues at the local and global level and also to critically analyze government Policies and Programmes announced and implemented to resolve the issues.

Business analytics has emerged as a highly sought-after career owing to the proliferation of big data, the development of powerful analytical tools, and the demand for individuals who can help businesses make sense of these resources to develop actionable insights. The scope of business analytics in management studies has also expanded from being a standalone subject to a multi-disciplinary domain that involves multi-faceted paradigms, including quantitative, qualitative and decision-making sciences. Owing to the versatility of Business Analytics as the fusion of data analytics, advanced mathematics and information management skills, Uttaranchal University is offering MBA- Business Analytics programme. In this programme, students will get to learn about technology-based analytics and data, and how to use this data to improve business.

MBA-Business Analytics programme has been designed to enable students to make sense of the complex data-driven ecosystems of contemporary business organizations and develop and implement analytical solutions that leverage this data to improve organizational efficiency, market share, profitability, and other key performance parameters.

M.Tech in Drone Technology is a 2 year full time post graduate programme proposed to develop an understanding of Drone history, types of aircraft, and various applications of Drones. The purpose of this programme is to investigate drone flying strategies. It is not the drones themselves that bring value to users, but rather the safe and secure data collection process. The goal is to educate students about the rules and regulations for drone operations, which will be necessary for collecting data for agriculture, surveys, delivery systems, safety, and security, among other things. Apart from the curriculum, the teaching pedagogical activities include industrial visits, projects demonstration, seminars, practice on various simulation tool, workshops on new technologies, and guest lecturers.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry is a 3 years program deals with in- depth study of various areas of Organic, Inorganic, Physical and Analytical Chemistry. Spectroscopic Techniques, Nanotechnology, Total Quality Management and Environment and Green Chemistry are some other courses being taught apart from Interdisciplinary courses like, Computer Applications, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences and Humanities. These Programs provide the knowledge of Chemical Science & Environment which is beneficial for the students in the field of Research and Development.
