The aim of the M Tech in Energy Management & Sustainability is to train students to fill the gap between the growing renewable and sustainable industry demand for specialized manpower. The training acquired during the course will prepare them for professional life in Renewable Energy, Energy Management , Energy Auditing, Energy planning and Environmental Impacts of Energy Usage. Integrating industrial support, guidance and participation during the academic process creates a rich value in the course. After graduating, the students will be able to design, installations & testing of renewable power systems, conduct energy auditing & provide carbon credit solutions, undertake consultancies and turnkey projects.

Agronomy deals with planning and provision of food in all conditions. It directly contributes in making our country self sufficient and independent mainly due to its competence of aiding surplus food grain production. Post Graduation in Agronomy provides wide knowledge on cultivation practices of all crops, horticultural crops, soil, water, fertilizer and similar aspects. Agronomy is a core branch of agriculture and facilitates in crop production and increasing the livelihood of the farmers.

Environmental science is an interdisciplinary academic field related to advanced study about environment and ecosystem. It also deals with the solution of environmental problems which is the need of the hour. Apart from the study of biological and physical characters of the environment, it also includes the social and cultural factors and impact of humans on the environment.

M.Sc. Environmental Science is a 2-year full-time PG course which includes courses of ecology, environment and green chemistry, energy and environment, natural resource management, environment nanotechnology, water and waste water management, and environment and health which are designed with the aim of fulfilling the demands of trained human resource in this field. This program will prepare individual for understanding environmental issues and find sustainable solution for it.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology with Research (4 Year Programme) will specifically focus on imparting research skills. The program will also accomplish exposure to industrial practices, protocols through training and workshop so as to identify skills required to pursue career in research industries. Students with simultaneously acquire research skills through experimental learning via designing and executing protocols, data analysis and interpretation, data presentation and scientific writing.

BBA program gives the students strategic outlook on problems of business organization, management & solutions to them. The BBA program seeks to provide to the management trainees the understanding of the theory, practice of management and the required knowledge and skills to succeed in the business world. The degree programme is intended for those who wish to acquire business and managerial knowledge and skills. The curriculum provides the students with a strategic perspective on contemporary issues in management. The academic curriculum of this 3 years programme involves comprehensive learning that would produce managers who are well equipped with technical expertise and practical knowledge relevant to today’s globalized environment. This program provides the students with practical orientation and broad specialization in marketing, finance, information systems, human resource management and international business. It is aimed towards research and development with exposure and experience of working amidst cutting-edge technology. Thermal Engineering emphasizes on the applications of the elemental principles of Thermal Engineering, which include Steam Power Plants, turbine Power Plants, Petroleum Refineries, and Solar Appliances, Cooling of equipment and Devices, Automobiles, I.C. Engines, Refrigeration Plants, Air-Conditioning System, Cold Storage Units, Propulsion Systems.

One year programme in Hotel Management provides a strong understanding of different functional and managerial aspects related to Hotel Management. The demand for hotel management professionals is expected to grow more with the increasing number of hotels being set up in India and all over the world.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology is a 3-year program with an enriched curriculum comprising of basic courses (cell biology, biochemistry, animal and plant physiology, developmental biology) and applied courses (plant and animal biotechnology, bioinformatics, bioprocess technology and others). Specific courses target skill development, employability and entrepreneurship potential of biotechnology.

Owing to the versatility of Business Analytics as the fusion of data analytics, advanced mathematics and information management skills, Uttaranchal University is offering MBA- Business Analytics programme. In this programme, students will get to learn about technology-based analytics and data, and how to use this data to improve business.

B.Tech CSE with specialization in Cloud Computing is a 4-year specialised undergraduate program that focuses on comprehensive knowledge of data storage, cloud security and network. Cloud Computing enables computing services for accessing resources over the internet on demand as and when required and then paying accordingly. Program also offers in depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, multitenant technology, virtualization and various cloud delivery models.
