To create substantial impact through teaching, research, and application, the discipline of psychology provides students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of behaviour and experience from a variety of theoretical perspectives. The students are provided specialization in a wide variety of psychological topics including general, social, abnormal and organizational psychology. With the expansion of chemical-related production because of industrialization, there has been an increase in need for a specialized study of industrial chemistry that prepares students with the skills to navigate the industry. The Faculty of Applied & Life Sciences provides a two-year Postgraduate degree programme in Industrial Chemistry, which prepares students to become critical human resources for the nation’s overall economic growth.

The programme follows a curriculum that is unique and is aligned with industry requirements, ensuring that students continue to get the greatest level of industrial relevance. To ensure that students get the most beneficial practical industry experience possible, the Faculty of Applied Sciences is equipped with cutting-edge research and experimental facilities. This programme emphasizes the critical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities required for a scientific profession.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry is an interdisciplinary field concerned with the design and synthesis of different types of drug from the biologically active molecules. The field of pharmaceutical chemistry is very dynamic and combines a broad range of scientific disciplines such as drug discovery development and also therapies.  It provides students with a thorough understanding of drug mechanism of action, structure activity relationship (SAR), acid base and physico- chemical properties and absorption, metabolism and toxicity profiles.

M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a 2 year, post-graduate degree program involve aspects related to the general chemistry, organic chemistry, synthesis and analysis with different analytical techniques for their characterizations as well as their utilization.

The main objective is to develop skilled pharmaceutical chemists, with a thorough understanding and knowledge of drug and their action and utilize their potential to work efficiently and effectively in an interdisciplinary atmosphere.

M.Sc. Chemistry is a two years post graduate program. The masters program offers in depth knowledge of courses like, Analytical Chemistry, Environment and Green Chemistry, Photochemistry and Pericyclic reactions and Nanotechnology.  

The students are provided exposure to lab work and dissertations. They are also trained to write research articles in reputed journals. Thus the students become competent enough to do work in public and private sectors.

Aerospace is a branch of engineering that involves the science, design, and manufacturing of Aircrafts, Rockets and Spacecraft. The world of Aerospace engineering today is involved in the design of reusable spacecraft and rockets for space exploration, hypersonic transport aircraft for faster travel, drones of multidisciplinary applications including military applications, glide and cruise capable hypersonic missiles, stealthy reconnaissance and fighter aircrafts, and many more. The B. Tech. in Aerospace Engineering program is meant to create industry-ready professionals by training students on varied technical fields of aerospace engineering involving design, analysis, maintenance, process engineering, and manufacturing of aircrafts, rockets, missiles, spacecraft, helicopters satellites and drones.

M.Sc. Biotechnology is a two year program spread into four semesters. The curriculum comprises of comprise core courses, open elective and discipline specific electives. Core courses provide conceptual knowledge and experimental learning pertaining to basic and applied field of biotechnology through different teaching learning methods. Open electives target skill enhancement and discipline elective courses are specifically designed to provide skills pertaining to application of biotechnological tools and techniques in various fields including industry, agriculture, environment, health and others. Industrial visits, participation in seminar/conference, training programs impart additional technical skills. A crucial component of fourth semester is dissertation; each student is allotted a supervisor to conduct research in the field of interest of the student. The objective of dissertation is to impart skill to design and develop protocols, conduct experiment, interpret data and comprehend scientific writing skills.
