BA (Hons) Economics aims to develop the necessary skills to analyze economic phenomena. Students will develop the necessary skills to empirically validate economic theories. Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning (AI &ML) relates to the field of computer applications and helps in making the intelligent systems or machines that can simulate the human behaviour, their thinking capability. It works either on the basis of data without or with the explicitly designed program or machine algorithm. Few examples where AI is used are online Game playing, customer support using catboats, robot, intelligent humanoid, Siri, work on artificial intelligence. Machine learning works on the information extracted from data and it is considered as subfield of artificial intelligence. ML is used for predictions or in decision making based on the past data, for example, online recommendations, picture detections, search engine algorithm, auto-friend tagging suggestions etc. Realizing the importance of the field and its wide application in today’s world business, Uttaranchal University offers specialization in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML) to students enrolled in MCA program.

MCA with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a two years post graduate program to impart right knowledge and industry ready skills to develop intelligent machines and solve real world problem through AL & ML techniques. The curriculum and teaching – learning pedagogy is so designed that it balances between theoretical component and practical exposure through projects, internships, industrial visits, expert interaction and conducting technical workshops. Some of the key concepts of Python, Panda, Scikit are well explained through lab sessions and having regular doubt clearing sessions. Special focus is given on courses related to computer programming, Algorithm, probabilistic modelling, machine learning and pattern recognition.

The programme is a combination of modern and ancient English literature, consisting of three main areas of focus, i.e. Prose, Poetry, and Drama. The programme includes literature by not just England writers, but from all over the world. Cultural, political and historical contexts of English and linguistics are explored on an advanced level.

It prepares students for teaching and Creative English Writing. After Post-Graduate degree, a candidate can pursue Doctoral Degree or can appear in competitive examination for jobs in various government departments. B.Tech Civil Engineering is a 4 years (8 semesters) undergraduate program designed to create engineers who can work for the society for creating space to improve their living standard, create safe and secure environment from natural and manmade disasters. The teaching – learning pedagogy involves not only class room teaching but also experiential learning through practical in the lab, fields and interactions with experts, training in workshops, internships, live projects and field work. Students are taught variety of courses in the field of structural engineering, transportation engineering, water supply and waste water treatment, environment engineering, foundation engineering, surveying, estimation and costing etc. Apart from that students have exposure to software learning relevant to industry and it is ensured that students are industry ready after leaving the college life and easily adaptive to the new environment through skill development based courses.

Geographical Information System (GIS) is an inter-disciplinary field that builds expertise in the application of geospatial technologies to the most important real-world concerns in the areas of the environment, earth sciences, social sciences, and economics. The field focuses on translating geospatial data into useful end-user information by using acquisition, processing, characterisation, analysis, and modelling to better understand geographic patterns, processes, and interactions at all scales, from macro to global.

B. Tech Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Cloud Manufacturing is a multi-disciplinary programme designed keeping in view industry 4.0 requirements. The smart and Cloud based manufacturing is the demand of the future. For these smart factories, to compete, engineers must be adept at managing complexity and shortening product cycle from concept to market. interconnected and intelligent manufacturing system which Students of this course will learn about the latest advances in AI & ML, IOT, Cloud Computing, big data, and controllers, and how they can be applied to the fields of Mechatronics, Robotics, 3D Printing, and Nanotechnology etc.

B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Big Data Analytics is a 4 years specialised undergraduate degree program designed to ensure students learn about current and new Big Data-related techniques and ideas, such as, statistics, data mining, data storage, and data visualisation. Engineering Mathematics, Data Structures, Data Analytics, and other computer science-related topics are covered in the proposed specialized program.

B.Tech in Electronics & Communication engineering with IoT is a 4 years full time programme which gives the detailed idea and understanding of the IoT architecture and its applications in various fields. This programme integrates topics from basic sciences to technology with applicable practice in labs and projects to help students to develop problem-solving abilities while meeting industry standards. B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics is a three year Honors Program. The thrust of this Program is to impart extensive knowledge of Physics, both in theoretical and practical spheres. The Programme involves Thermodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Optics, Heat & Thermodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, Atomic, Nuclear & Particle Physics and Lasers & Instrumentation and Electronics. Besides these, the students will also study the generic subjects like English, Mathematics and Computer Application.
