Cyber security is the practice of protecting computers, servers, electronic systems, networks, mobiles as well as data from malicious attacks. It involves protecting software, hardware, as well as user’s data. It also helps prevent cybercriminals from gaining access to various devices connected through networks. It also trains how to monitor systems and networks for intrusions. In view of that Uttaranchal University offers BCA – Cyber Security, a three-year undergraduate program designed to fulfil the requirements of the IT industries.

BCA- cyber security program focuses on providing relevant skills to establish sample collection techniques from different sources that help students to profile threat actors. The program includes courses like Fundamentals of Cyber Security, Risk Management, Law of Cyber Security, Security Professional Ethics, Principles of Information System Security, Paradigm of Ethical Hacking, Information System Security Planning and Audits, Python programming, etc

The MBA programme is designed to match the needs and requirements of industry and commerce and to fulfil the aspirations of future managers. B.Tech ECE with VLSI & Embedded system is a 4 year program offered at Uttaranchal University aims to provide the knowledge and skills in VLSI design methodology and embedded system. The curriculum covers algorithms, System Architecture Verification Techniques, Component requirement for Hardware Model, substantial Designs, and Synthesis & Simulation for VLSI system. The programme also covers thrust areas like Real Time application of VLSI & Embedded Systems, Advanced Microcontrollers, Advanced Embedded System Design, and System on Chip. Apart from the curriculum, the teaching pedagogical activities include industrial visits, seminars, practice on various simulation tools like, workshops on new technologies, and guest lecturers.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning (AI &ML) relates to the field of computer science and helps in making the intelligent systems or machines that can simulate the human behaviour, their thinking capability. It works either on the basis of data without or with the explicitly designed program or machine algorithm. Few examples where AI is used are online Game playing, customer support using catboats, robot, intelligent humanoid, Siri, work on artificial intelligence. Machine learning works on the information extracted from data and it is considered as subfield of artificial intelligence. ML is used or predictions or in decision making based on the past data, for example, online recommendations, picture detections, search engine algorithm, auto-friend tagging suggestions etc.
