Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning (AI &ML) relates to the field of computer applications and helps in making the intelligent systems or machines that can simulate the human behaviour, their thinking capability. It works either on the basis of data without or with the explicitly designed program or machine algorithm. Few examples where AI is used are online Game playing, customer support using catboats, robot, intelligent humanoid, Siri, work on artificial intelligence. Machine learning works on the information extracted from data and it is considered as subfield of artificial intelligence. ML is used for predictions or in decision making based on the past data, for example, online recommendations, picture detections, search engine algorithm, auto-friend tagging suggestions etc. Realizing the importance of the field and its wide application in today’s world business, Uttaranchal University offers specialization in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML) to students enrolled in MCA program.

MCA with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a two years post graduate program to impart right knowledge and industry ready skills to develop intelligent machines and solve real world problem through AL & ML techniques. The curriculum and teaching – learning pedagogy is so designed that it balances between theoretical component and practical exposure through projects, internships, industrial visits, expert interaction and conducting technical workshops. Some of the key concepts of Python, Panda, Scikit are well explained through lab sessions and having regular doubt clearing sessions. Special focus is given on courses related to computer programming, Algorithm, probabilistic modelling, machine learning and pattern recognition.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry is an interdisciplinary field concerned with the design and synthesis of different types of drug from the biologically active molecules. The field of pharmaceutical chemistry is very dynamic and combines a broad range of scientific disciplines such as drug discovery development and also therapies.  It provides students with a thorough understanding of drug mechanism of action, structure activity relationship (SAR), acid base and physico- chemical properties and absorption, metabolism and toxicity profiles.

M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a 2 year, post-graduate degree program involve aspects related to the general chemistry, organic chemistry, synthesis and analysis with different analytical techniques for their characterizations as well as their utilization.

The main objective is to develop skilled pharmaceutical chemists, with a thorough understanding and knowledge of drug and their action and utilize their potential to work efficiently and effectively in an interdisciplinary atmosphere.

B.Sc. (Hons.) forensic science is a three-year program spread into six semesters. The curriculum of forensic science is a blend of interdisciplinary fields including biology, chemistry, physics, microbiology, entomology, anthropology, drug chemistry, ballistics. The curriculum is enriched to provide conceptual knowledge along with sound technical skills and laboratory expertise. 

B.Tech in Electronics & Communication engineering with IoT is a 4 years full time programme which gives the detailed idea and understanding of the IoT architecture and its applications in various fields. This programme integrates topics from basic sciences to technology with applicable practice in labs and projects to help students to develop problem-solving abilities while meeting industry standards. Apart from the curriculum, the teaching pedagogical activities include industrial visits, hand on projects, seminars, practice on various simulation tool, workshops on new technologies, and guest lecturers.

MAJMC with specialization in Digital Journalism/TV Production & Film Making/Advertising & Public Relations/ Development Communication in School of Media and Communication Studies aims to provide quality media education with focus on producing skilled and industry oriented human resource and encourage media entrepreneurship in the field of Mass Communication. It has a specialized course curriculum which incorporates varied aspects of Journalism & Mass Communication. The program has a research-oriented curriculum which aims to explore the potential of research in different dimensions of Journalism & Mass Communication.

B.Tech Civil Engineering is a 4 years (8 semesters) undergraduate program designed to create engineers who can work for the society for creating space to improve their living standard, create safe and secure environment from natural and manmade disasters. The teaching – learning pedagogy involves not only class room teaching but also experiential learning through practical in the lab, fields and interactions with experts, training in workshops, internships, live projects and field work. The BBA program seeks to provide to the management trainees the understanding of the theory, practice of management and the required knowledge and skills to succeed in the business world. The degree programme is intended for those who wish to acquire business and managerial knowledge and skills. B.A. (Hons.) English or Bachelor of Arts Honours in English is an undergraduate programme in English Literature. The programme teaches about English Language and Literature and the way it has developed into its modern form along with highlighting varied aspects of English society through its genres like Drama, Poetry, Novel, etc. The Honours Programme is intended for the students who have a strong interest in English Language and Literature and who show promise in the study of either or both. B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology is an undergraduate three-year degree programmes are designed with the goal of providing expertise to the students in the field of Food Science and Technology. This program will provide students with in-depth knowledge of the Technical, scientific and professional approaches towards the physicochemical, microbiological, engineering and textural aspects of food.
