B.Sc. Biology is a 3-year full-time undergraduate program that focuses on the organisms, biological systems, and things driven by them. Civil Engineering deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally build environment, including works like road, bridge, canals, dams and building. During the study, the students are exposed to various subjects of Civil Engineering such as planning, drafting (both manual and computer aided), surveying, estimation and costing, construction technology, basis of the highway, railway, bridge, airport tunnel and harbour engineering. The course also offeres adequate exposure to reinforced concrete structure, quality control, material testing. construction management & entrepreneurship, professional practice and office procedures. Students get a feel for an extensive survey, building drawing, irrigation and bridge drawing and structural engineering drawing. They are also exposed to softwares like Autocad & Staad.

There is a lot of scope in the field of Industrial safety in India. Many industries that are expanding such as Automobile, Commercial Electromechanical Equipment, Home Appliances, Pharma, Oil and Gases etc require an industrial Safety Engineer. Most of these organizations have an in-house safety department that one can join. Otherwise, there are auditors who assess these companies for compliances related stuff which is another career one could go for.
