You practise interpreting consecutively and simultaneously between English and another language. You explore the effects of intonation and the use of idioms in spoken English. Throughout your studies you also become familiar with interpreting for legal, healthcare or business settings. One area of focus for our taught program is advanced criminal law, enabling you to gain further expertise in that area. Other courses focus on human rights law, and indigenous rights and law.

In the Postgraduate Diploma in Arts you can choose from a wide range of courses, creating a very flexible course of study.

In this one-year intensive program you can select advanced level courses in language and culture, or Maori development.
