The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management is the first 10 months of the 15 month Master of Applied Management. You will complete the four core compulsory courses from the Master of Applied Management, plus four elective courses of your choice. This program aims to enable students to enhance their applied management skills and knowledge by focussing on more specific and in-depth aspects of management. The range of elective courses aim to provide options that will complement a range of particular professional experience and career aspirations.

This program is designed to give people who already have a degree or extensive business experience an opportunity to extend their knowledge into the field of management without having to complete another degree. The Graduate Diploma in Management allows you to add a specialisation in management with elective options in international business, human resource management, logistics and more to further your career. The Graduate Diploma in Management is ideal if you are seeking promotion in your existing employment, wish to widen your skill and knowledge base and keep ahead in the knowledge game or if you are considering a career change, including self-employment.

This program will provide you with specialist knowledge, as well as technical and practical skills relating to aquaculture.

The program was designed with industry so you will graduate not only with the practical skills and knowledge in aquatic ecology and marine conservation biology but also communication and operations management skills so you can make an immediate contribution to the aquaculture industry whether locally, nationally or internationally. The New Zealand Diploma in Business Level 5 Leadership and Management strand allows you to launch your career in management with the operational skills to lead the charge in business’s daily functions. You will learn the fundamentals of business operations covering leadership, human resource management, law, Treaty of Waitangi and more. In addition the applied teaching method will provide a safe environment to develop essential employable skills including effective communication, collaboration and team work across mediums, problem solving and decision making. This program has been developed in collaboration with industry to ensure graduates have employable skills for the New Zealand business environment.

This qualification will give you the skills you need to apply for your Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) Mate Fishing Vessel - Unlimited Certificate of Competency (COC). The program will give you the skills you need to gain your MNZ Mate Fishing Vessel - Unlimited COC, allowing you to work as Mate of a fishing vessel of 24m or more in length in any operating area at sea. On completion of this qualification return after 12 months and gain your Skipper Fishing Vessel – Unlimited certification to get the skills for your Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) Skipper Fishing Vessel - Unlimited COC. This programme contains all the training and supplementary certificates you will need for your COC. Including STCW basic safety training, advanced fire fighting, PISC and rescue boats, GMDSS Radio Operator.

If you enjoy problem solving and like to understand how things work, then a career in Technical Support might be for you. Learn to build and administer networks for businesses This program builds upon the technical skills of the Certificate in Information Technology Technical Support with extended knowledge in networking and computer systems.  By the end of this course you will understand how the hardware of cables, servers and processes work with operating systems, networks and databases to deliver Information Technology Technical Support in a business environment. With this qualification you can start your career in an entry-level Information Technology support role, or pathway into the second year of the Bachelor of Information Technology.

NMIT offers a Master of Applied Management pathway qualification. This qualification can be completed full time over 15 months, or part-time over a longer period. This Level 9 qualification brings together theory, applied practice and research, tailored to your needs and your industry.

This level 5 program is the first year of the diploma qualifications. You will focus on fitness techniques, health, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, training, coaching and motivating people with the sector. This program replaces the Diploma in Applied Fitness. If you have partially completed the Diploma in Applied Fitness you will be able to transition onto this new qualification.
