The Bachelor of Arts and Media programme provides the fundamental skills to enable graduates to move into personal practice or embark on a career in arts and design.

After completing this program, you’ll be able to enter the counselling profession at a beginning practitioner level. Practical placements are an essential part of the program and you’ll spend time working in community agencies and organisations. Once you’ve graduated, you’ll be able to apply for provisional membership of a relevant professional body such as the NZAC, Te Wh?riki Tautoko, DAPAANZ or NZ Christian Counsellors Association. You’ll have developed the skills and professional attributes to enable you to work collaboratively within this increasingly complex and interdisciplinary sector.

This level 5 program is the first year of the diploma qualifications. If you have partially completed the Diploma in Applied Fitness you will be able to transition onto this new qualification.

The Graduate Diploma in Marketing allows you to add a specialisation in marketing with elective options in strategic management, operations, international business and more to further your career. You will use your existing graduate skills or extensive experience to start your business study at the equivalent level to the final year of a business degree. This qualification will give you the skills you need to apply for your Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) Mate Fishing Vessel - Unlimited Certificate of Competency (COC). The program will give you the skills you need to gain your MNZ Mate Fishing Vessel - Unlimited COC, allowing you to work as Mate of a fishing vessel of 24m or more in length in any operating area at sea. On completion of this qualification return after 12 months and gain your Skipper Fishing Vessel – Unlimited certification to get the skills for your Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) Skipper Fishing Vessel - Unlimited COC. This programme contains all the training and supplementary certificates you will need for your COC. Including STCW basic safety training, advanced fire fighting, PISC and rescue boats, GMDSS Radio Operator.
