This qualification will give you the skills you need to apply for your Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) Mate Fishing Vessel - Unlimited Certificate of Competency (COC). The program will give you the skills you need to gain your MNZ Mate Fishing Vessel - Unlimited COC, allowing you to work as Mate of a fishing vessel of 24m or more in length in any operating area at sea. On completion of this qualification return after 12 months and gain your Skipper Fishing Vessel – Unlimited certification to get the skills for your Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) Skipper Fishing Vessel - Unlimited COC. This programme contains all the training and supplementary certificates you will need for your COC. Including STCW basic safety training, advanced fire fighting, PISC and rescue boats, GMDSS Radio Operator.

This degree program is offered by AUT at the Nelson Campus and is available to graduates of the Diploma in Applied Fitness and the new New Zealand Diplomas in Sport, Recreation and Exercise. After completing the NZ Diploma in Sport Recreation and Exercise.

The courses that make up this program are all relevant and applied so you are constantly learning information you can apply to your work on graduation. The degree does not contain specialisation, however in your third year you will complete a big project that reflects the area of sports and recreation you are interested in. Get started with Postgraduate study and pathway onto the Master of Applied Management. NMIT offers a Master of Applied Management pathway qualification. The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management is the first 10 months of the 15 month Master of Applied Management. You will complete the four core compulsory courses from the Master of Applied Management, plus four elective courses of your choice. This program aims to enable students to enhance their applied management skills and knowledge by focussing on more specific and in-depth aspects of management. The range of elective courses aim to provide options that will complement a range of particular professional experience and career aspirations.

With this program, you’ll work closely with adventure operators to gain experience in the adventure tourism industry. NMIT has conveniently located a short distance from three awesome National Parks (Kahurangi, Abel Tasman, and Nelson Lakes). While there are a number of classes on campus, you will also often be out and about hiking, rafting, rock climbing, sea-kayaking, skiing, snowboarding or canyoning.

This program is designed for people who seek to gain advanced skills and knowledge in logistics and supply chain management to apply to their business environment, whether it be domestic or international business.The aim of this program is to produce work-ready graduates with the personal attributes, advanced specialised knowledge and practical skills necessary to make an immediate and innovative contribution to organisations engaged in, or wishing to engage in logistics and supply chain management whether locally, nationally or internationally.

The Bachelor of Social Work qualification will provide you with the core professional competencies and attributes required to enter the social work profession. In doing so, you will be awarded a provisional registration at the level of a beginning practitioner. This is the first step to becoming a fully registered social worker after completing two years of supervised practice.
