This program will give you the skills and expertise to manage projects from start to finish, to deliver projects on time and to  budget.Managing projects is an exciting career path and can be utilised anywhere in the world.

You will develop the theory and practical applications required of project managers and also have the opportunity to join the NZ Project Management Institute and complete their professional examinations.

You will study the principles of project management, business finance, operations management, advanced project management and Business Transformation and Change.These skills and knowledge gained will be used as you complete an industry project.

Diploma in Web Development and Design (Level 5) is designed for those seeking to develop and apply skills in the concept and execution of web development and interface design.

Graduates will be capable of operating within the applicable professional standards and practice, both independently and collaboratively as part of a team under broad supervision, with skills that are internationally relevant.

Technical skills

• Determine client requirements, prepare and present solution(s) which meet client requirements.
• Write scripts appropriate to implement and customise a solution package using frameworks and libraries.
• Design and implement interfaces to enhance user experience and functionality.
• Select, install and configure appropriate plug-in modules to supplement functionality to meet organisational requirements.
• Test functionality and usability to meet client requirements.
• Implement, configure, and publish tested web solution to meet client requirements.

This program will teach you the principles and techniques involved in environmental management.You’ll gain a practical and theoretical knowledge of terrestrial and marine ecosystems,flora and fauna in New Zealand and learn about sustainability,environmental issues, monitoring and conservation techniques.You’ll also get involved in the protection and restoration of local natural, rural and urban environments.

Take the next step in investigating terrestrial, freshwater and coastal ecosystems while learning about the challenges to our unique environment. Complete a work placement to start putting your new skills into action, and develop your networks in the conservation field. You’ll learn all about biodiversity and resource management, as well as monitoring and evaluating ecosystem dynamics. You’ll also be able to apply legislative requirements when conducting environmental activities. You will design and coordinate environmental projects involving monitoring, analysis and reporting.

What will you learn?

In this program you will gain an ecological knowledge of Northland’s terrestrial,freshwater and coastal ecosystems and learn about challenges to biodiversity and resource management, as well as monitoring and evaluating ecosystem dynamics.You’ll also get involved in the protection and restoration of local natural, rural and urban environments and get the chance to make valuable contacts within your chosen field through work placement.

This program aims to develop learners’ skills in project management and the management of information technologies. The program contents include business analysis, system analysis and design, management of information and communication technologies, advanced business analysis and an industry project.

The Enrolled Nurse program is an eighteen-month course which leads to registration as an Enrolled Nurse. Enrolled Nurses work under the direction and delegation of Registered Nurses or other registered health practitioner in a range of settings including acute care, rehabilitation, and mental health in the community and/or in hospitals.

Enter the world of infrastructure development. You’ll learn all about land surveying, highway and traffic engineering, and water and wastewater systems. You’ll also be equipped to design and supervise the construction of roads, buildings, tunnels, airports, dams, and bridges.

This diploma will provide you with the knowledge and skills required of an engineering technician. You’ll learn to apply theoretical and technical knowledge to practical situations and demonstrate the necessary strategies to work safely and effectively with contractors, communities, clients, and authorities.
