Complete the third year of your degree by immersing in the “workhub” with real clients - getting truly ready for industry. This work-integrated learning component comprises380 hours of work experience. You'll develop a multidisciplinary approach in context of cultural and ethical influences, enabling you to contribute to the creative industry solutions and outputs in New Zealand and around the world.

UCOL's new Bachelor of Social Services will provide you with specialist knowledge and skills to gain employment in a variety of areas such as community/social services worker, disability support advocate/worker, mental health advocate/support worker, navigator or case manager.

Working with people is a core component of this program and this course will give you an understanding of how social and community dynamics can impact on individuals, families and groups of people. The program will provide you with learning opportunities that include face to face, simulation/role play, group work and work experience. At the end of the program you will have the confidence to work in the community to create change.

The New Zealand Diploma in Cookery (Advanced) with strand in Cookery will provide you with the management and supervision skills to run a commercial kitchen and get real-world experience with work placement opportunities in local restaurants.
