Advanced Strength and Conditioning

Learn how to conduct and apply advanced assessment and intervention techniques to competitive athletes. Your studies also include planning a testing session for a group of competitive athletes (including risk management) and the application of sports strapping.

Applied Professional Practice: Strength and Conditioning 

Immerse yourself in structured industry environments so that you can independently apply and develop your knowledge and practical skill set in delivering structured training programmes to athletes. Your studies also include conducting a pilot research project and reporting on the effectiveness of your interventions on performance-related parameters.

Gain advanced knowledge to research for and plan community-based projects within the context of the Aotearoa/New Zealand sport, fitness, active recreation, and health and wellness industry. UCOL's Bachelor of Nursing will provide you with learning opportunities that enable you to become an effective registered nurse, providing competent, comprehensive nursing care.

When you enrol in UCOL’s Bachelor of Nursing program you'll be assigned your own personal tutor to guide you right through your nursing journey. They’ll support you through the curriculum, which includes up to 160 hours of clinical placements in your first year. Later in the program these clinical experiences will include primary health care, medical and surgical, and mental health settings.

UCOL's New Zealand Diploma in Construction (with strands in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying) is the ideal qualification for people who want to work as construction managers or quantity surveyors.

From the start to the completion of residential as well as commercial building projects, the New Zealand Diploma in Construction will provide you with extensive construction training, the knowledge and the skills for a successful career in either construction management or quantity surveying. 

Upon completion of this program, you will receive qualification to enter employment in construction management or quantity surveying under the supervision of a more experienced practitioner relevant to your chosen area of expertise.
