You’ll work on public-productions and smaller-scale projects, exploring drama practices and texts from the 20th century onwards as well as working on original pieces. Alongside this, you’ll explore many other subjects including history, politics, philosophy and religion as well as developing your literacy and communication skills.

Understanding the importance of literature and drama to society is the main focus of our BA (Hons) Drama and English Literature degree.

Here at ARU, the focus is on an experiential, 'learning-through-doing' programme. By studying Business with Economics at ARU, you’ll be looking at the ‘bigger picture’. Together, we’ll explore accounting and mathematics, statistics and econometrics, micro- and macroeconomics. But we’ll also study business more broadly, covering topics such as project management, sustainability, the EU economy and international trade.

Our BSc (Hons) Strength and Conditioning with Rehabilitation degree allows you to focus on the areas that really interest you, gain fitness industry qualifications, and obtain valuable work experience on an optional placement year.

Based in our specialist, accredited labs in the Cambridge Centre for Sport and Exercise Science, you’ll learn how to help people develop their speed, agility, endurance and strength – whether they’re professional athletes training for elite competitions or local clients seeking to improve their physical activity levels. This is your chance to gain an advanced understanding of consumer psychology. Put yourself at the forefront of the discipline by joining one of the few European MScs offered in this area. Understanding the consumer lies at the heart of many businesses, so upon graduation you'll be well placed to provide expertise to take companies forward.

Through five modules you will learn about Consumer Psychology. We are proud that the teaching team includes renowned academics and our psychology research has been classified as world-leading and internationally excellent in the Government’s 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF). You will be taught the workings of the consumer mind in order to explain why humans respond to different types of consumer stimuli. Specifically you will learn about what captures consumers attention, how their perception may be altered by different types of design element as well as factors that affect the consumer decision-making process.

You will also be taught social-psychological aspects of consumers’ functioning such as social influence tactics used in sales, persuasion and advertising alongside the role of consumer’s personality and identity. Furthermore, you will learn about the most commonly used statistical techniques as well as the theoretical and practical complexities of conducting psychologically based consumer research. You will be able to put your research skills into practice as you structure and execute your own piece of research.

Focusing a range of periods and themes including British and global histories, race and politics, gender, sexuality and the body, and also how we recreate history, you’ll take part in hands-on historical research to make sense of how past events have shaped our world today.

Cambridge is the perfect place to study history. Thanks to our close links with local organisations, you’ll find yourself handling historical objects, leafing through archival material, and working with museum professionals, as well as engaging with digital sources and archives.

As a history student at ARU, you'll form an understanding of why people and societies think and behave as they do – and how these actions can echo down the centuries.
