In your third year, for example, your final project involves working with major firms and enterprises to assess their engagement with social enterprise and corporate social responsibility. The skills you gain on the Actuarial Science undergraduate course will kickstart your actuarial career. You can also enter careers in risk management, investment management or financial analysis.

If you enjoy mathematics, statistics, probability and economics you will find this course ideal. For the duration of your degree, you’ll delve deeper into these core subjects, as well as stochastic models, finance and financial reporting, business and, naturally, actuarial science itself. During the Accounting and Finance undergraduate degree course, you’ll master your subject knowledge and acquire the professional acumen and key skills to stand out as a professional in your field.

Objectives

Your career in finance and accountancy launches here. The Accounting and Finance degree is both highly selective and highly demanding. You will be working hard for the rewards it delivers. The degree is delivered in strategic partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). By meeting the relevant criteria, BSc Accounting and Finance students can achieve up to eight exemptions from the ICAEW's Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA) and receive similar exemptions from other professional accountancy bodies.

This accredited integrated master’s covers structures, geotechnics, hydraulics, and sustainability applied to civil and infrastructure engineering. Over four years, you will develop professional engineering skills, with a focus on innovative and sustainable solutions to infrastructure problems.

Individual and group engineering design projects demonstrate your expertise to future employers. Whilst a fourth year, at master’s level, helps you transition from study to professional practice.

The History and Politics joint degree will appeal to ambitious students interested in developing a deep understanding of politics and political processes rooted in both the past and the present.

Taught by methodological and health practitioner experts, this intensive MRes course will build your confidence and expertise in leading research in healthcare settings. You will gain in-depth understanding and skills across a breadth of research methods, laying the groundwork for a career as a healthcare researcher.

The programme focuses on formal training in research methods for evidence based practice and on applied data analysis, including quantitative and qualitative research and statistical analysis.
