This is a career-focused practical course, which will appeal to those with an understanding and exploring how organisations compete and co-operate around the world. The Business modules give you a broad understanding of business concepts, models and issues, with a focus on leadership and innovation. The Finance modules develop your analytical and problem solving skills in areas such as risk management, banking system and financial markets.

Product Design is the study of the whole design lifecycle – from idea to production. On this course you’ll study the functional and market-led requirements of product and furniture design, looking at ergonomics, aesthetics, usability and the application of technology.

Specific areas include visual language, branding, user-centred design, computer-aided design (CAD), 3D design and modelling, and design cultures. You’ll learn about sustainability and examine the development of socially conscious products that, through their technical specification, reduce waste and conserve energy.

Economics is key to understanding some of the critical questions facing our world. This course will explore these questions while also examining some of the principles and theories that can help us to answer them. The programme will also put data-driven analysis at the heart of its approach, as emphasised by Contemporary Economics.

In this course you will learn to evaluate a variety of advanced quantitative and econometric techniques, and be able to effectively solve economic problems using data application tools. This includes applying knowledge to a range of specialised areas within economics using econometric techniques.
