You will grow your skills across core electronic engineering disciplines, by taking modules such as Digital Signal Processing, Power Electronics and Embedded Systems. You will further enhance your employability by studying Engineering Business Environment, a module that considers the opportunities and threats to business arising from environmental policy, legislation and societal change. In your final semester, you will be supported by our academics and technicians with your individual project, a substantial piece of work focused on your specific research interests.

You will be taught by staff who are carrying out research in areas including emerging memory devices, growth nano-structures and communications cabling. This means you will develop a thorough and up-to-date understanding of the context of electronic engineering in the 21st century.

Whether your creative specialism lies in media, products, interiors, exhibitions, fashion or branding and marketing, on this course you will explore and embrace digital and design related technologies in your field.

You can specialise in technologies such as user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, mobile app design, e-learning, virtual and augmented reality, 2D and 3D animation, 3D digital printing, digital display and projection design, visual and special effects for TV and film, interactive kiosk and installation design, wearable devices and smart clothing. The course is designed for students with a good working knowledge of multimedia software tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator Flash, Dreamweaver and After Effects, and 3D software such as Autodesk MAYA or 3DMax, providing an opportunity to develop these technical skills to an advanced level.

You will examine the practical skills and the academic theories surrounding digital design methods. We will take you all the way from concept development and prototyping to production techniques and testing. In-depth insight into each stage of the creative production process will be supported by training in project management. This broad base of specialised skills will equip you for wide-ranging creative careers as digital designers, web and app developers, and multimedia production directors, while the understanding you will build of business planning and web presence management will teach you the key skills needed to launch a freelance career.

This program focuses on detailed decisions about the design and construction of buildings and their immediate surroundings. Architectural Technology is concerned with new and existing buildings and examines how detail relates to the design concept. This field is also central to the communication of design decisions to members of the construction team and vital to ensuring that work is carried out in the correct manner.  

Our course will help you evolve the knowledge and skills required in understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation relative to design, technology, management, and practice. It will also help advance your architectural management proficiency by bringing together all aspects of the design process, from concept through to completion. 

In addition, this degree examines design strategies to promote and encourage sustainability. You will explore methods of sustainability to inform architectural design, and develop an awareness of ecological footprints, materials, and embodied energy along with processes of achieving sustainable design.

This versatile degree programme boasts an interprofessional and dynamic approach to learning that provides students with a framework for exploring key issues in contemporary public health in the UK. You’ll develop in-depth knowledge of the buying cycle and the critical path, and key activities around trading the range, reacting to sales and managing sales promotions. The merchandising pathway focuses on the numbers behind buying a fashion range, its selection process and strategic stock management.

We place strong emphasis on sustainability and social responsibility, ensuring that you will graduate with the tools to drive innovation at all stages of the buying process.

The fashion industry is evolving with the shift in fashion retailing from high street to commerce. We work alongside industry professionals to put your learning into context and will equip you with the skills and adaptability to take on the challenges of our rapidly changing industry.

The course will enable you to develop skills in the analysis of international financial markets and institutions, and provide you with a conceptual and theoretical grounding in current concepts and techniques in bank financial management, portfolio management, financial econometrics, business analytics and associated areas.

You will also be introduced to a range of empirical techniques enabling you to analyse sectoral dynamics, the impact of innovation on performance, and the impact of regulation and policy interventions on the financial services industry. Accredited by the Royal Society of Biology, this research-informed course is ideal for careers in the medical and healthcare professions or laboratory science. It integrates scientific research and clinical skills to develop your understanding of the human body in health and disease.

You will be taught by experienced, research-active academics and clinical experts who will present the latest advances in medicine and science, and study a range of topics, including Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Inflammation and Immunobiology, Evidence Based Medicine and Clinical Perspectives, Cancer Therapeutics, Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Nutrition through the lifespan.
